Tenant kills landlord’s daughter over slippers

It started as a squabble between two ladies. One was the landlord’s daughter, the other a tenant’s little sister. In time, it graduated to a brawl.

People, including the landlord, came to separate them. And there was peace – or so the people thought. Just when everyone was just settling down with what he or she was doing, there was a fresh commotion.

The two ladies had gone back at each other. This time, viciously. By the time it all ended, one of the ladies lay dead. It was the landlord’s daughter, named Rhoda.

It was said that her alleged assailant, the tenant’s little sister named Happiness, stabbed her in the chest. Her dead body is now in the morgue in Isolo area of Lagos.

Rhoda, a 23-year-old hairdresser and mother of two (she was nursing the last one before her death) was living in her father’s house, at 23,Odulaju Street, Sabo, Ajangbadi, Ojo, in Lagos, with her children. Her father Oladuyoye Abel is a pastor with Christ Apostolic Church.

Her alleged killer, Happiness, 19, from Nnewi South, Anambra State and a salesgirl at Alaba International Market, Ojo, said she never intended to kill Rhoda. According to her it was Rhoda who wanted to stab her.

Narrating the incident, she said, she returned from the just-concluded Lagos International Trade Fair to notice that her bathroom slippers were not at the entrance of her room. She started looking for them and saw Rhoda’s first child of about four years wearing them.

According to her, she took them from the little girl and implored her not to wear them again because she had lost several pairs left at the entrance of her door.

“I was cautioning the little girl and I didn’t know that her mother was by the well-side. Instead of Rhoda to caution her child, she started asking the little girl why she should wear the slippers of a valueless, worthless, miserable and good-for-nothing girl.

She was calling me other unprintable names. It was from then that fight erupted and her father and my brother intervened immediately and separated us. That was about 7.30pm. Her father was angry with her and he asked her if she was the only lady in the compound that every time, she would quarrel with people.”

Happiness said, in annoyance, the old man went inside the house and started throwing out his daughter’s belongings, asking her to “leave the house as he is fed up with her trouble. My brother also cautioned me that this shouldn’t be the reason to fight.

I wanted to go inside when she rushed at me from behind and I shouted and drew the attention of people that thought that the fight had ended and I fell on the door of the tenants’ kitchen and she was holding my jugular.

Her mother was there, I didn’t know how she got a kitchen knife on the floor probably left by a tenant that was cooking and wanted to stab me. I overpowered her and took it from her and it slipped through my finger and I stabbed her. It was later that I heard that it was on the chest that I stabbed her.

“As the fight was going on she had vowed that either of us would die that evening. I went inside and heard that she was lying down and bleeding. My brother made move for her to be taken to the hospital but her mother objected and said she would grind pepper and onions and put in her nose to revive her and when she gets up she would then be taken to the hospital.

It was when the pepper and onion therapy had been administered and she didn’t get up that my brother went to the Ilemba Hausa police station, Ajangbadi to report,” Happiness narrated. She then asked: “Why should I deliberately kill her? Even though we had problem before, but we had made up our differences.”

Happiness is now in the homicide section of State Investigative Bureau, Muslim Smith, Yaba. She is very sacred of how the whole thing would turn out. She is also afraid of want might become of her aged mother in the village when she hears the news. According to her, she lost her father at an early age.

In an emotion laden voice, Pastor Abel, father of the decease, told Saturday Sun that he is still wondering why Happiness should stab her daughter to death. According to him, Happiness went into the kitchen to take the knife she used to commit the murder and the family wants justice to be properly done.

He said both of them had problems but they made up long before the incident. Rhoda died at gate of the hospital she was rushed to. The kitchen knife used for the alleged murder has not been found.

Woman has s*x with a 7 year old girl to prove her love to her married boyfriend

The sickness that exists in this world is so beyond me sometimes I truly can’t fully wrap my head round it.

A 26 year old woman Margaret Ann O’Neill has admitted to having sx with a 7 year old girl – and her reason?

Apparently her married boyfriend told her the only way he would leave his wife for her is if she did this sickening act and taped it for him!

She told police she performed oral s*x on the girl to satisfy the ‘s*xual appetite’ of her married lover Christopher Smith in an attempt to show Smith how much she loved him after he promised to leave his wife for her.

Smith himself was arrested on December 5th after another woman he was having an affair with called police when he asked her to have s*x with the same abused seven year old.

Police seized his cell phone and found video footage of him having s*x with the same seven-year-old girl. They also found footage of Margaret O’Neill performing oral s*x on the child.

Investigators revealed Smith’s wife told them she found a video of him abusing a child in February – but chose not to alert authorities because she ‘wanted to protect’ the child’s family.

In a bid to get further evidence against Smith they set up a sting operation and recorded him talking about abusing children.

O’Neill was booked into the Orange County Jail on five counts of s*xual battery on a child younger than 12 and three counts of criminal conspiracy to commit s*xual battery.

Smith has been charged with 24 counts of s*xual battery on a child younger than 12, lewd or lascivious molestation and conspiracy to commit s*xual battery.

We all know what happens to child abusers in jail. I hope he is sodomized routinely and consistently till he dies. As for O’Neill she deserves to be hanged. Sick, disgusting people.

This Girl Was Raped By Her Cousin But She's Still A Virgin

“I woke very late, very dizzy even his mother noticed and asked me whether I was feeling alright that morning.

I told her I was okay but when I went to the bathroom, I discovered I was wet but did not feel any pain.

I asked him but he smiled and waved it off. I did not disclose to anybody. I just cleaned up.

“I finished my mensuration five days before then. I also wrote my NECO there but left after a week I finished my exams.

I went back to Onitsha, and on the 27th of July, I came to Lagos to my sister’s house. There I missed my period. I told her and she advised that we should wait for some days, saying it might be a shift.

That was the beginning of the story of Chinelo, a teenage girl who was "drugged", raped and impregnated by her own cousin, Onyeka, when she visited her mother's relative in Anambra State. She went their for her UME exams and had slept on the same bed with Onyeka.

Below is an edited version of Chinelo's story:

Chinelo began to notice symptoms of pregnancy after a month. “A month later, I felt sick. My sister and I thought it was malaria. But what later convinced my sister was when I started vomitting. Our neighbour advised we should go to the hospital.

My sister obliged and we went to General Hospital, Aguda. They even gave me money for the test.

“It was on Sunday, so the lab personnel did not come. We returned home and went back the following day.

A test was conducted and we waited for about 30 minutes. When the result came out, they wrote ‘malaria not seen and pregnancy positive’.

“While waiting, my sister had also taken her sick daughter to see a doctor. I approached a woman sitting close to me to explain the result to me and she looked at me and asked whose result was it, saying it indicates pregnancy. When my sister came, I gave it to her and she asked how come I became pregnant.

“I told her I didn’t know that I didn’t have a boyfriend. She took me to their head nurse who also is a counsellor. She tried to convince me but I maintained my position knowing it was the truth.

They decided to take a virginity test on me with the aid of a machine. The result came out and it was confirmed that I am still virgin,” she narrated.

Then the pressure came. The medical team and her sister probed further and Chinelo broke the ice saying: “I remembered the incident in my aunty’s house and I asked whether if someone was wet without making love could result into pregnancy?

They asked me who was with me and I told them how I saw myself wet that morning when I woke up. I further told them how I drank the juice and slept off. I did not know what happened again.

The medical team concluded that pregnancy could occur without a penetrative intercourse since her virginity was intact. Chinelo became more confused with the whole 'drama', but she suspected Onyeka must have drugged her with the juice she was served after dinner.

Chinelo has already gained admission to study Mass communication at Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State but she would have to suspend her quest for further studies pending the delivery of the baby sometime in March 2012, all things being equal.

The overwhelmed teenage girl is currently taking refuge at the Tamar Rescue Foundation, Lagos, a non-governmental organisation that sensitizes young girls on the menace of s*xual abuse and rape.

My Wife Wants To Kill Me With S*x,I want a divorce

A 39-year-old cobbler, Daniel Olufumilayo, has accused his wife of plotting to kill him with s*x in order to inherit his property.

He said his wife usually demanded as many as eight rounds of s*x before the break of dawn.

The divorce-seeking father of two stated this in a divorce suit he filed against his wife at an Agege Customary Court, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

He told the court that his wife is so crazy about s*x to the extent that she always demanded for seven or eight rounds of it every night.

He added that in his entire life, he has never met a woman like his wife when it comes to hunger for s*x.

“My wife can never be satisfied s8xually. Her plan was to kill me with her excessive demand for s8x so that she can inherit my property,” he said.

The cobbler claimed that when he could not satisfy her s8xually, he had to send her packing so that she can marry another man of her choice.

He also alleged that his wife made his children hawk sachet water and sweets for her on busy roads.

Responding to the allegations levelled against her by her husband as regards her outrageous demand for s8x, Zainab said: “Afterall, he could not accuse me of infidelity. I am not a flirt. If he accused me of being a nymphomaniac, it is his headache.

“S8x in marriage is my conjugal right which I think every responsible man must preserve and protect and if I demanded for as much as I want, I have not done anything wrong.

The petty trader said that she did not know what came over her husband, when he suddenly asked her to pack out of their matrimonial home after the naming ceremony of their last child.

According to her, “Olufumilayo ordered me to vacate our matrimonial home after I gave birth to our last child even though I did not offend him in any way.”

Zainab told the court further that she had to re-marry when, after waiting for two years, hoping that her husband would have a change of mind following efforts by her parents to resolve the matter amicably and reconcile them, failed.

The court, after listening to both parties, dissolved the union, adding that the marital relationship between the estranged couple had broken down completely.

15 injured in Gombe hotel bomb blast

No fewer than 15 persons were injured in an explosion at a hotel located on the outskirts of Gombe.

The attack occured on Wednesday night and came after a series of bombings on Christmas, Day, which killed at least 40 persons in Suleja, Jos and Damaturu.

The Manager of the hotel, Mr. Ojiego Nelson, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Gombe on Thursday that three persons came to the hotel at about 10.13pm on Wednesday to explode a device.Nelson said he was at the gate of the hotel when the men, who were carrying guns, started "manhandling" the security man.

He said, "When he asked what was happening, they started shooting sporadically."Our customers and everybody started running helter-skelter and the one with two gas cylinders in his hands threw them into our reception.

"He threw one into the reception and threw the other one under the cars parked by our guests in the hotel."The one thrown into the reception exploded and damaged the building, so we just managed to escape through the back fence.

"The manager said as soon as the incident happened, all the customers vacated their rooms in the hotel. He said the incident was immediately reported to the Divisional Police Officer in Tumfure, Mr Hassan Bappa, who came to the scene with his men.

Bappa told NAN he moved his men to the scene of the incident when the matter was reported to him, but said the gunmen had escaped before the police arrived. Bappa said there was no casuality and nothing was stolen from the hotel.

"We are waiting for bomb experts to come and remove the relics at the scene of the incident," he said. He said there was no arrest made so far but investigations were going on. Meanwhile, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream), Senator Magus Abe, on Thursday in Lagos called for political support for security agencies to reduce the spate of bombings in the country.

Abe (PDP-Rivers South-East) made the call in an interview with the NAN, urging the security agencies to be persistent in handling the incessant bombings by the fundamentalist Boko Haramsect.

He said, "The security agencies need full political support of the leadership of the country and the communities; besides, they need to be focused, consistent and avoid distractions. "The Boko Haram issue is a challenge that must be overcome.

Take for instance, there was a time in Israel when bombs were going on everyday but today they have overcome it.’’ The senator advised the country’s leadership to be courageous in handling the present security challenges facing the nation. "The Boko Haram issue requires leadership and total courage, courage on the part of the leadership and the leadership must adopt the consistency approach," he said.

Christian Man Disguised As Muslim To Burn Down Churchch

A deadly tribal war that could have led to series of counter attacks and avoidable loss of innocent lives almost started this week, if not for providence.

According to what I gathered, a middle aged man (names withheld) disguised in kaftan and turban, was arrested while attempting to set ablaze a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of Church (RCCG) in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.

A senior official of the State Security Service (SSS) in Yenagoa confirmed the unfortunate incident.

He however disclosed that upon interrogation, it was discovered that the suspect has no connection with the radical Boko Haram sect as he was a Christian from Edo State.

The SSS official said: “There is nothing like bombing of a Church in Bayelsa State. What actually happened was that a man was arrested while attempting to burn down a Church.

The man is said to have confessed to the Church of being an armed robber and the Church promised to rehabilitate him and paid his house rent for two years.

“When his rent expired, he went back to the Church demanding for additional House rent and the Church said they only promised to pay his rent for two years for him to find a job and be on his own. So the man decided to go back to the Church, attempted to burn down the Church yesterday (Tuesday evening) and was arrested. We have handed him over to the police.”

If this guy had succeeded with his wicked plan, he would have deceived many into believing that the attack on the Church was carried out by Boko Haram... May God save us from the enemy within!

I am alive, says man reported killed at Lekki toll gate protest

Eleven days after he was reportedly killed during a protest against toll collection on the 49- kilometre Lekki-Epe Expressway, Mr. Femi Ogunsanya yesterday said it was all a ruse.

Ogunsanya, 39, was reported to have been killed by thugs allegedly hired by the Lagos State government to stop the protest. The government denied this and persuaded the police to release those arrested.

But Ogunsanya said yesterday he is not only alive, but hale and hearty. He spoke at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, Lagos Mainland.

According to him, the controversy thrown up by his alleged death informed the clarification

Ogunsanya , an employee of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) Plc, said though he was beaten and injured by the police, he was not shot.

On the allegation that his wife came on a radio station to confirm his death, he said: “The whole thing was a shock to me. I have no wife and have never been married before; so, I do not know who spoke on radio.”

Narrating how he was caught in the crisis, Ogunsanya, who incidentally wore the same shirt he was wearing on the day he was reported dead, said: “I was just coming to work that day and I could not get a direct bus to Ajah. So, I decided to break my journey. When I got to Lekki, I saw the chairman of the residents association and as I was exchanging greetings with him, I heard gunshots and decided to run for my dear life.

“But before I could run, some policemen and hoodlums held me and started beating me. That was the last I could remember because I passed out immediately. I was later rushed to the Accident and Emergency hospital at the toll gate. I was treated and I survived. I was not part of the protesters. I was on my way to work. I am the person in the photograph that was published in a newspaper, but you can see that I am not dead. I was shocked when I saw it.”

Speaking to The Nation, Lagos Police Command spokesman Samuel Jinadu said Ogunsanya spoke to prove to the public that nobody was killed in the protest.

Jinadu said: “The man who was allegedly killed is the person standing beside me. He is alive and healthy. You can see his legs; he was not shot in the leg or any other part of his body. The command was embarrassed by the report and that is why we brought him here for you to see.”

He said 18 persons were arrested during the protest for unlawful assembly since no permission was granted for the march by the Police.

The spokesman explained that Ogunsanya was one of those released with other suspects following Governor Babatunde Fashola’s plea.

Jinadu said:“We want to state categorically that although there was little fracas at the place, nobody was killed.”

The captain, newsmen gathered, also doubles as a maritime guard cammander of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA.

He has been in detention since December 3.

It was gathered that the captain was directed to arrest the vessel, a directive he complied with and handed over the crew and vessel to NIMASA officials.

NIMASA’s management, however, refuted the claim, saying the maritime agency did not have the power to detain any arrested vessel.

It was learnt that after the arrest and detention of the vessel, it mysteriously disappeared from where it was berted.

1 dead as 2 cars plunge into river in Ogun

Tragedy Struck on Tuesday evening, when two cars reportedly plunged into a river along the Ondo-Benin road, precisely at Ososa- Ijebu, in Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State.

One of the cars was retrieved with one of the passengers dead while others sustained injuries.

However, there was anxiety, as one of the cars with uncertain number of occupants, was said to have sunk after it fell into the river and could not be evacuated from the river by the rescued team 24 hours after .

Confirming the incident, the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE, Commandant in IJebu zone, Kunle Ajibade told Vanguard on phone that, the incident which occurred at 4:03 pm on Tuesday, involved two cars.

He disclosed that it was an hectic task for the TRACE, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Fire brigade and Policemen from Odogbolu and Ijebu-Ode, before the three occupants of a Camry model car could be rescued after it plunged into the river .

Ajibade, while giving the details of the incident said, “I have the video clip of the incident.

“The two vehicles fell into the river, but, one was lucky as it stopped at the river bank, it had three male occupants, one was dead, one was unconscious and the third conscious, the injured have been taken to hospital.

“The other vehicle is still in the river, with all the occupants. We will monitor it, hoping to see the vehicle and the occupants floating in the next three days” he said, while adding that, he is in possession of the mobile phone of one of those taken to the hospital .

He further said that, the accident would have been averted, if the two drivers had been patient with each other, saying that, their action had led to the loss of innocent lives.

Findings however showed that, the accident caused a traffic snarl on the highway as the men of the TRACE and other agencies were busy controlling the traffic.

Ajibade, who told the Vanguard that, some eyewitnesses told him that, the driver of one of the cars which carried the occupants that were rescued was driving against the traffic, which caused the accident.

He said: “Let me tell you one thing, the simplest way to die, is to drive against the traffic. And anyone doing that is either the person is suffering from psychological problem or the person is ready to die.

“My humble advice to all road users is to be patient on the road as who drive safely, gets home safely.”

As at the time of filing this report, the plunged car was yet to be evacuated from the river, while fear has gripped some people whose relatives plied the road.

Generator fume kills six in Ebonyi

SIX persons were yesterday confirmed dead, while six others are now receiving treatment at the Presbyterian Joint Hospital, Uburu, in Ohaozara local government area of Ebonyi State after in-haling fume emanating from a generating set.

The victims, who are members of the same family, died of suffocation on Tuesday.

Reacting to the incident, Chairman of Ohaozara local government area, Mr. Ogbuefi Akpa, who expressed shock over the death of the family members, added that he had visited the hospital where he charged the management to ensure that adequate medical attention was given to the victims.

He noted that the deputy governor of the state, Engr Dave Umahi, had equally visited the hospital to commiserate with the family of the victims and made a donation N100,000.

An eyewitness, Mr John Kish Onu told newsmen that the incident occurred when the family went to bed without putting off their generating set they kept along the passage of their house.

According to Onu, six other members of the family were rushed to the Presbyterian Joint Hospital, Uburu, where they are receiving urgent medical attention.

“Their parents went to bed first before the children and because one of the children was sick, the children had gathered to pray for a sick member of the family. After the prayers, one of them carried the generator to the passage and left it there”.

“Meanwhile, one of the doors at the passage which led to where they were sleeping was open while they went to bed without knowing the implication of their action. In the morning, people expected them to be awake but that didn’t happen as they were all lying helpless and dead.

“They are about 12 that slept in the room. At present, six children have been confirmed dead, while six are in the hospital,” he said.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Ebonyi state command, Mr John Eluu, who also confirmed the incident, however, pointed out that six others were in critical condition.

Protect yourselves in any way you can christians

Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, yesterday told Christian faithful across the country to protect themselves, their property and churches in any way they could, against any attack, even as he asked Muslim leaders to call their people to order.

Oritsejafor stated this when he paid a visit to St Theresa’s Catholic Church, Madalla, the scene of the Christmas bomb blast at Madalla, Niger State.

Oritsejafor, while sympathising with members of the parish, said the visit was to let them know that they were not alone.

“Even though Jesus Christ is with you, we have come to show solidarity,” he said.

Oritsejafor, who described the Madalla bomb blast as “madness that should not be talked about among human beings,” said Christian faithful should expect the unexpected “when you are in the world but our belief in God must be stronger now.”

He said although the Muslim community had taken a good step by visiting and sympathising with Christians and victims of the bomb blast, it was not enough.

He said they should take a step further and help reach Boko Haram members, noting that the perpetrators were not spirits.

His words: “We see this as pure madness, normal people don’t behave like this, even animals have value for each other not to talk of human beings.”

Ex-Military Man Kills and Cuts Up His Mother Then Dumps Her In A Well

Both luck and the popular Yoruba saying that, 'train your child to give you rest of mind' worked against Mrs. Martina Usha, a 57-year- old resident of Maraban Rido, a suburb of Kaduna, as her son she laboured so hard to give the best of education butchered her like a cow and dumped her dismembered body in a well.

Although the incident occurred mid last month, but skeletal details were at the disposal of Crimewatch until recently, when our reporter succeeded in speaking with the 34 years old suspect, Emmanuel Usha, at the Kaduna Police Command Headquarters.

Crimewatch gathered that Martina was the first wife of Engineer Godwin Usha and a mother of three children. Her first child, a girl, was said to have died at the age of 15, leaving the woman with two boys, Emmanuel and his younger brother.

A source close to the Usha family disclosed how the suspect had been passionate about blood or had been using blood for something which is not yet known to people. According to him, Emmanuel had always loved draining blood from animals, right from his Secondary School days.

"Emmanuel had at one time, killed a dog in their compound, drained its blood and kept it in his room for use which is best known to only him. He did the same thing to a cat which was even very friendly with both the young and old in the compound," he recalled.

Though, the suspect had allegedly had series of quarrels with his late mother and even hit her with shovel, no one, including his parents suspected he could butcher his biological mother in such a dastardly manner. The recent problems which resulted in the death of Mrs. Martina, was said to have begun, after she relocated from Ungwan Television, where she lived with her husband, to her apartment in Sabo Tasha.

Crimewatch gathered that it was at Sabon Tasha that Emmanuel made the first attempt to murder her. That was the time he allegedly used shovel to hit her on the hand.

According to the same source, there were several other unsuccessful attempts by the suspect to kill her, before the recent one, which led to death of the hapless woman. Investigation further revealed that the four bedroom flat, where deceased was eventually butchered was built by her, after her retirement as a senior staff of Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC). She was said to have moved into the house with Emmanuel and his sibling.

Report also had it that before she met her untimely death, there was a face-off between her and the suspect, immediately she returned from where her younger son was receiving medical treatment.

Another source, who lives close to late Martina's house told our reporter how she was passing by that fateful Monday evening and heard a faint shout from someone, who was screaming for help, adding that nobody could enter into the compound because of the high fence. The source, who preferred anonymity added: “Small time, we no hear the noise again and we come think say, everything don dey okey." She explained that the woman ceased screaming, adding that since they were sure that her son was inside the compound, they had no reason to be worried until they reported her missing the following day.

Another source disclosed that Emmanuel never reported his mother's disappearance to anyone, including her church members and friends, until some concerned members of her church saw him outside and asked after her. He was said to have snubbed them and that was how people began to suspect foul play.

The source further added: "Reaching Wednesday morning, Reverend Father Mark, the Priest of the Mission, became apprehensive and queried what must have gone wrong that made Mrs. Martina Usha, who never missed any morning devotion to be absent? The concern for Mrs. Martina’s wellbeing compelled her closest friend, Veronica Umah and Volunteered Catechist, Michael Iheoma, to immediately rush to her house, where they met Emmanuel, and asked after his mother.

They met her son, (Emmanuel), asked him after his mother and he was said to have responded in a very harsh tone, which gave them the impression that something must have gone wrong.“When we went to the house, I spoke with him and asked after his mother and he responded harshly, saying, ‘my mother has not come back’.”

It was further gathered that shortly after that, some youths from the church also came to the house , where they saw him mopping the floor, a development which gave more room for suspicion. According to them, they knew the suspect was not known to be humble enough to get involved in domestic chores, such as mopping of the floor.

But out of annoyance, occasioned by the insistence of church members on knowing Mrs. Martina's whereabouts, Emmanuel rushed to Ungwan Television to inform his father for the first time, about her mother's disappearance.

And when Engineer Usha rushed to Maraban Rido and did not see his wife, he quickly reported the matter to the police. Crimewatch checks, however, revealed that the following day, a member of the Communication Committee of the St. Simon Catholic Church, Brother Godwin Boi, and the Chairman of the Committee, Brother David Adayi, came to the house and desperately carried out a search and suddenly concentration of houseflies at the back of the house where a well is situated.

The discovery was said to have compelled them to open the well and offensive orduor oozed out.

It was the offensive odour that made them to order Emmanuel to fetch some water from the well for scrutiny.

And when he fetched it, he testified by that it had a foul odour. And before they could ask further question, he had taken to his heels. But unfortunately for him, he ran into the waiting hands of some angry youths, who were desperately waiting outside the gate to be furnished with the latest information on the matter.

He was later handed over to the police, after parts of his late Martina's body were recovered from the well by some experts.

Though, Engineer Usha did not want to speak to the press, he, however, confided in a journalist who is very close to the family that his son, "had given very conflicting statements at the police station, which pointed to the fact that he killed his mother.”

He said further: “At the moment, the dismembered parts of my wife have been stitched together at Barao Dikko Specialist Hospital and we will be taking the corpse to rest in the village."

Meanwhile, after several fruitless moves by the reporter, to have access to the suspect who has since the incident, been in the police net, he was eventually paraded before newsmen last Friday.

Below is the excerpt of the reporter’s interaction with the alleged mum killer:

Why are you here?
I was framed up, I went home and discovered my mother in the well and I couldn’t escape.

Who framed you up?
People who didn’t want me to believe I was a graduate from the military school. I graduated from Arizona Academy Air Force in 2010. I am presently teaching in my mother’s school.

There is an allegation that you killed your mother, what can you say about that?
I didn’t kill my mother, those who didn’t want me to believe I graduated from the military school killed her.

Some of them are our neighbours, some of them even stole my uniform and the rifle I got from the academy in the country. They didn’t want me to achieve anything in this country. I know some of these people but not all of them.

What time of the day was your mother killed?
It was sometimes in the evening. I was at home earlier, before I went out to smoke. When I came back, the deed had already been done.

When you came back from where you went to, what did you see in the house?
There was nothing unusual in the house; there was also nothing to show that somebody attacked her.

After my mum disappeared from the house, I went to my father’s house that night. When I was coming back, there were people around the house, waiting for me to come and open the gate, they started searching and discovered the body in the well.

You were alleged to be mopping the floor of your room the same day, what were you trying to cover up?
I was mopping oil stain. My shoes stepped on engine oil, when I was entering the house to take key to fill the generator with fuel.

What was the relationship between you and your mother like, before her death. We learnt you usually fought with her?
My mother was the one who brought me to Maraban Rido after I could not discover my house. I forgot and these people were taking my things away so, I couldn’t remember that I was having a house like that.

She was the one, who brought me into the house and organized my school for me. She was the one, who was paying my school fees. I was staying with my father in Ugwan Television before, but I wasn’t doing anything because the school I finished in Nigeria, I didn’t make it, I finished Mossi Gabriel, I finished New Breed, Labayi, I even took some exams but all, I didn’t make any of the papers.

I also schooled abroad at Arizona Academy, Air Force and that was the one my mother was carrying forth for me but she wasn’t telling me anything.

We learnt that you were always quarreling with your mother, how true is this allegation?
I don’t fight her always but on one occasion, I used shovel to injure her and it was because I was instructed to go to the house to collect my phone from her and she didn’t want to give it to me. And she was not paying attention to my transportation money to go back home, so I had to trek home that night, so I was annoyed and I attacked her that night.

That time, I was not living with her, I was living with my father in Television, while she was living in Sabo at that time.

Who are you suspecting to have killed your mother?
I suspect our neighbour, where she used to keep the things she took away from me before I woke up.

What are those things?
My uniform, my rifle, I have a rifle that I was given in the country when I finished. My identity card was an international number, I was supposed to separate it into two, I gave the national ID card. Whenever they give it to me, I’m supposed to wake up the following day, after the injection my head swagger.

So, what were you doing with gun?
Yes, I have a gun, it was given to me in the country, because I attended an Air Force Academy. When you are a scholar with them, they give you a rifle for protection. They signed it for me and I was supposed to finish with my commission.

What about your mother’s handset which you were alleged to have taken?
She travelled and came back that morning, we didn’t have time to talk, so, I came back in the evening from school.

She asked me about the handset I sold, I denied taking the handset. Later, she discovered that the second handset was missing. She was very annoyed that she didn’t realize that she was not having the communication system in the house. So, while she was barking at me, I went to the room and she went out. That was the last time I saw my mother alive.

The police recovered a very sharp knife from your room, what were you doing with it and the shovel found under your mattress?
It is the knife I used in peeling oranges when my mother buys for me. The shovel is my rifle I was using in Arizona Academy, it was a gun but they changed it to shovel for safety.

Do you smoke and what do you smoke?
Yes, I smoke cannabis and cigarette.

Have you ever been taken for any rehabilitation in the past?
Several times, my mother took me for rehabilitation. I don’t drink, when I drink, I vomit and I fall very sick so my mother was concerned. She told my father about it and they went to complain to NDLEA about it. They took me there for rehabilitation, since then, I don’t drink alcohol again. I only smoke.

What led you into drugs?
In the school, it was a project that I should continue smoking, because it is something I used when I am on patrol, so that I will not be bored. We were trained that way in school to smoke. When my mother gave me my ID card, I realized that it was true, I was an army, the clothes given were that of army but my eyes could not see the colour actually. I don’t see green because they didn’t give me my glass to see.

How do you feel about your mother’s death?
I feel very bad because people believe that I killed my mother. I am actually the one in need of my mother, because she promised to give me all the things she seized from me before going to stay with my brother in Sabo.

The former Palestinian minister of tourism and head of the Palestinian forces in Bethlehem were slightly injured. Administration of the church is shared by Catholic, Orthodox, and Armenian Apostolic clerics.

The relationship between these groups has often been difficult, and there have been similar scuffles in previous years over jurisdiction.

Husband Uses Voodoo To Sleep With Me

A divorce seeking housewife, Mrs. Halimat Usman, has accused her husband, Idris Usman, of rubbing black powder on his manhood before making love to her.

Halimat, a resident of 18, Owode Street, Abule-Egba, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, in a suit she filed at Meiran Grade “A” Customary Court, said her husband is diabolical, adding that he caught him red handed on a night, rubbing black powder on his manhood when they were about making love. She said further that her husband pleaded for forgiveness when he discovered that she has caught him.

She also told the court that there was another time she went to the market and on getting back home, she met her husband and a herbalist buying a black substance in their compound. Halimat who said she had endured her husband for almost three decades, revealed that the burial of the black substance in their compound has brought negative consequences as things turned upside down for her and the children.

Responding to the allegations, Usman told the court that he had always taken care of his wife and the children. His words: “My lord, she accused me of being fetish, but I want to tell this court that both of us are fetish. I buried black medicine in the compound so as to get good buyer for my uncompleted building that I wanted to sell off. “There was a time I was looking for my pair of slippers.

I looked for it almost five days. Later when I threatened that I would stop giving our children allowance, one of them told me that he had found the slippers. “Thereafter, I consulted my spiritual leader who told me that I should recite “Bisimilahi” three times before using the slippers again, ” he told the court. In her ruling, Alhaja Gafar said the evidence before the court points to the fact that the couple are living like cat and mouse under one roof, which she said was dangerous for co-existence.

“In view of this, it is evident that the relationship between the two has broken down irretrievably. Therefore, the marriage between Halimat and Idris is hereby dissolved,” the president pronounced.
