There is danger when Police men becomes agents of destruction in a society. One of the policemen of the Special Task Force (STF) deployed to ease the Jos crisis went out of line and shot dead his collegue. This happened in the Jol area of Riyom Local Government Council of Plateau State.
When Todaysgist contacted the spokesman of STF, Captain Salisu Mustapha, confirmed the incident, saying “a mobile police attached to STF shot dead his colleague who is also a mobile police officer in Jol Riyom LGC. “
According to him, two children were also seriously injured in the fracas and are receiving treatment at the Vom Christian Hospital, near Jos.
He said it was not yet clear what informed the shooting by the policeman and the killing of his colleague. He said the officer was arrested and was being interrogated to ascertain the cause of the fracas.
