It's so sad for the family of a 12 year old girl in Bauchi who lost her life as a result of mechanic fault in a grinding machine. According to the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Haruna Mohammed, the incident happened on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, when the girl was grinding groundnut for her mother at the local grinding site.
"On 15/4/2015 at 10:00hrs, one Aisha Baba, female and 12 years of Galdimari District in Jama’are local government area of Bauchi State was sent by her mother to process groundnut at a nearby grinding machine site in the township. Unfortunately, the machine fan belt hooked the girl’s clothes and dragged her to the ground. As a result, the victim sustained serious injuries." The PPRO said the girl was rushed to the general hospital in the town but lost her life while receiving treatment.
