Since the advent of the Boko Haram menace, Nigeria army commanders must have realize how unpatriotic the Nigeria soldiers here. Just last year, a total of 66 soldiers(12 in September and 54 in December) were sentenced to death for mutiny now 200 soldiers have reportedly been dismissed by the Nigerian army over allegations of cowardice and insubordination during the army's operation to take over Sambisa forest.
The soldiers were reportedly dismissed at the Rukuba Barracks in Jos, Plateau State yesterday May 26th. When asked about the reported dismissal, Army spokesperson, Sani Usman, did not refute the claims but stated that the army as an institution has zero tolerance for cowardice and insubordination.
I think there is a need to instill the act of patriotism in all Nigerians as this is needed in all facet of the economy.
