It seems like a long time ago when everyone thought Buhari was Nigeria's messiah, now he is the target of angry Nigerians who are yet to feel the impact of his new administration.
Bishop Ezekiel Ikupolati, the Bishop of Ijumu Anglican Diocese has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to get to work quickly and stop giving excuses because Nigerians who massively voted for him expect him to deliver.

The Union reports that the bishop in a church service called on the president to stop giving excuses, saying the nation was getting tired of the his many excuses.
“President Buhari should settle down for work rather than talking of an empty treasury.
“There is no right thinking Nigeria that will accept that assertion. He was elected to tackle problem not to point them out to the people.”

Bishop Ikupolati urged the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to allow the national assembly do their work effectively and stop meddling in the issues happening there.
“APC leadership should leave the National Assembly chambers alone to appoint their leaders and carry out their activities in accordance to the constitution of Nigeria.”

The bishop also showed support to Justice Olamide Oloyede who advised the governor of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola to resign considering the situation of things in his state.
“I see her action as that of a typical but rare Nigerian. She should not be gagged, stampeded or silence.
He also urged Amnesty International not to create distraction and concentrate on the evil Boko Haram was perpetuating in the nation.

“It is uncivil for the Amnesty International to create distraction on the conducts of the Nigeria Army in the Northeast axis. Why are they not addressing the menace of Boko Haram”.
Meanwhile, the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reiterated its plan to reclaim power from the ruling party, All Progressives Congress come 2019.
