News just reaching me now indicate that five out of the six pupils of Divine Wisdom Nursery and Primary School in Ibadan burnt yesterday when their Schdool bus caught fire, have been confirmed dead.
I hear that they died at the emergency unit of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, where they were taken to for treatment.
Sources say the pupils had finished their second term examination and were going to school to obtain their report cards when the unfortunate incident occurred.
A reliable source at the UCH Ibadan also disclosed that senior medical personnel were battling to save the lives of the remaining 10 pupils.
They were fifteen in number, five are dead, one in critical condition, while the remaining nine are said to be responding to treatment
“Three of the victims were born by the same father and mother,” a nurse disclosed.
