Former SSS agent confirms Boko Haram's Al-Qaeda connections




Mr  Bukar Tarha, a retired secret service agent, told an Abuja Federal High Court that the Islamic fundamentalist, Mohammed Suleiman Ashafa confessed that he was working for the resident chief of Al-Qaeda in West Africa, Kano based, Adnan Ibrahim.
He also said that Ashafa confessed to have taken some Nigerians for terrorism training. This revelation was made known on Monday in a court case brought by the Federal Government against Ashafa who the government claim has ties to Al-Qaeda.
The SSS had arrested the accused six years earlier for his lead role  in steering the affairs of  Al-Qaeda in Nigeria.
