A new poll conducted by the United Nation (UN) based on national mood has rated Nigerians as the 100th happiest people in the world.
Denmark was rated as having the happiest citizens in the world, closely followed by their fellow Scandinavians Finland and Norway.
The others are Netherlands, Canada, Britain and the United States making the top seven
South Africa are ranked 90th, while Namibia is ranked 97th in the world. Togo are at the bottom as the least happy citizens in the world.
The report showed that the richer countries were happier, but it also said that optimistic people lived in third world countries that had little income.
The rankings come two years after Nigeria was recorded as the happiest people in the world in a 2010 Gallop poll.
