Bombs planted by Islamic terrorists along Lawan Bukar Street in the Maiduguri metropolis exploded on Tuesday living 4 people dead, with many others nursing various degrees of injuries.
The incident which occurred at about 1pm has led many residents to flee the area for safety. todaysgist.com gathered that shortly after the Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs) exploded, men of the Joint Task Force (JTF) tried to cordon off the area.
However, sources told todaysgist.com that they were met with stiff resistance, a situation that led to a serious clash between the JTF and the Islamic terrorists, leading to the burning of some houses in the area. As at the time of posting, calm is gradually returning to the area as the military succeeded in chasing away the terrorists.
