A man simply identified as Mr Molade is presently on the run after a fight which ensued between him and his wife
reportedly resulted in the death of the latter. The tragedy struck on
Tuesday, in Ikorodu area of Lagos State. The cause of the fight could not be ascertained, but report said the couple had been having incessant quarrels for some time.
According to reports, on that fateful day, there was a shout of help
from Mr and Mrs Molade’s one room apartment located on 14 Ifesowa
Street. However, no one responded as most of the tenants had reportedly
left for their respective places of work; it was about 10am in the
morning.
However, a passerby was said to have gone to the apartment out of
curiosity, only to find Mrs Omolere Molade unconscious. The said
passerby, a woman, reportedly tried resuscitating Omolere without
success. Policemen from Ikorodu Division drafted to the scene reportedly
found Omolere dead.
Spokesman for Lagos State Police Command, Ngozi Braide, who confirmed
the story, said Mr. Paul Omolade took to his heels immediately after
the fight, adding that effort was being made to arrest him.
