Sources in Bauchi have confirmed to newsmen that the slippery city once again came under the attack of the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram on Monday morning.
Following threats to unleash terror on the city, military and police units were said to have swarmed flashpoint areas overnight to prevent what a source described as massive bloodletting promised by the Islamist militant group.
But despite the efforts of the JTF, the Boko Haram still had their way to an extent. They attacked Bayan Garin, an area known for social activities, with improvised explosive device.
Unconfirmed reports have it that some of the prostitutes who hub-nub in the area and a few others were affected in the explosion.
