"Some people were affected but because there is pandemonium in the police headquarters no one can tell the extent of casualty at the moment," a source told newsmen from Maiduguri.
Keeping true to their promise to carry out more attacks on government officials and facilities, the dreaded Boko Haram sect struck the police headquarters in Maiduguri around mid day on Friday.
It was learnt that the suicide bomber drove a car bomb directly into the headquarters, but the bomb exploded just after the gate due to security measures.
