Etihad Airways 'kicks-off' flights to Nigeria with Manchester City FC aircraft

Etihad Airways has kicked off its 6 flights a week service between home base, Abu Dhabi, and Lagos. 

 To celebrate the new service, and Nigeria's love of football, Etihad Airways has operated its iconic "Blue Moon Rising" A330-200 aircraft painted in Manchester City Football Club's (MAN-City FC) famous colours, for the launch flight. 

 An Etihad Airways delegation led by Chief Commercial Officer, Peter Baumgartner, will be met at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) by H.E. 

Ibrahim Auwalu, Nigerian Ambassador to the UAE; Rashed Naser Musabbah Al Dhaheri, the UAE Ambassador to Nigeria; and senior officials from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
