SHOCKER! Top Nigerian Diplomat Kidnapped; Ambassador Fingered

The dirty politics being played in government ministries and agencies, newsmen gathered exclusively from a reliable source, has assumed a very frightening dimension in one of our embassies. As you read this, a top diplomat with the Nigerian Embassy in Venezuela, Dr. Olarotimi Ajayi, has been detained by immigration authorities in that country on his return from United States of America where he had gone to sit for diplomatic examination.

A family member who put a telephone call to our office informed us that he was detained on arrival from United State of America on 20th July 2012 and he is being threatened with deportation back to Nigeria without being allowed to see his family who are still in Caracas. The press statement says that Dr. Ajayi is being held incommunicado at the airport. First he was kept for hours without being informed while he was detained; according to the information, the Venezuelan immigration officers were not friendly to him.

After hours of detention, he was moved from the airport to headquarters of the National Intelligence where they finger printed him and took photographs of his diplomatic passport. According to the report, he was locked up for the night and as at the time Olufamous.com posted this report Dr. Ajayi is still been held incommunicado. At the National Intelligence, some of the officers are friendly to him and he learnt that there was an attempt to have him kidnapped but they intervened.

Till the moment of writing this press statement, no one has asked him any question on why he has been detained. Today (21st of July, 2012); two officials of the National Intelligence came to ask him questions on his recent visit to America where he had gone to sit for examination. It was learnt that his telephones are blocked so he cannot call or receive any phone calls, even from his family.

A source from Abuja informed us that his ordeal may not be unconnected with his conflict with his boss, Ambassador Felix Oboro in Caracas, Venezuela. The person alleged that the ambassador may be behind Dr. Ajayi detention and ordeal. The informant said that Ambassador Oboro claims that the Federal Government of Nigeria has placed a war alert on Dr. Ajayi in Nigeria. And that Dr. Ajayi's 2012 examination promotion visit to America was to discuss Venezuela.

Efforts by Dr. Ajayi’s colleagues in Caracas to visit him in detention has been prevented by Ambassador Oboro who says he will handle the matter himself but the family source said the plan is to have Dr. Ajayi deported back to Nigeria by 22nd of July 2012. It should be on record that Dr. Ajayi is still a Nigerian diplomat, he was recalled for no just reason and he has challenged the matter in court and the court in Nigeria has restrain the Nigeria Ministry of Foreign Affairs to leave him in Caracas until the determination of the matter which is before the court of law in Nigeria.
