Obama's slumdog brother: Meet the hopeless drunk from a Nairobi shanty town who is the U.S. President's BROTHER

As a tall, strangely familiar figure leaves his one-room shack in a notorious African slum this week, a few people jokingly call out to him: ‘Mister President! Mister President!’ Heading for breakfast through his junk-strewn yard, stepping over streams of sewage, the appearance of this slim, angular man prompts giggles and pointing from children in rags playing in the muck. 

The man’s name is George Hussein Obama and his half-brother is Barack Hussein Obama, Kenya’s most famous son, the first black President of the U.S. and the most powerful man in the world.

Details of his unorthodox lifestyle emerged with news that he has agreed to appear in a documentary film being made by one of Barack Obama’s most trenchant critics. 

Called 2016, and directed by the production team behind Schindler’s List, the film sets out the supposed horrors of another four years of Obama in office — though George does not criticise the President on screen.

 It is the idea of U.S. author Dinesh D’Souza, whose book The Roots Of Obama’s Rage paints a deeply unflattering portrait of the ‘narcissistic’ President. George has also written a memoir, called Homeland.

 Published in 2012, it details how he turned his back on a middle-class Kenyan upbringing to live among the desperately poor in Nairobi’s infamous slums. The book’s precis tell us: ‘George chooses to live in the Nairobi ghetto, where he works to help the ghetto-dwellers, and especially the slum kids, overcome the challenges surrounding their lives.’

In what sounds like the script for a Hollywood film, he claims to have been the driving force behind the transformation of a slum football team into one of the top sides in Kenya, known as ‘Obama’s champs’.

Frustrations Brought Boko Haram To Nigeria – Says Obama

The United States President, Barrack Obama, has said that frustrations were the major reasons behind the activities of Boko Haram, sect which has claimed responsibilities for most of the killings in the Northern parts of Nigeria. 

 Speaking during a special session held by the United States House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs in Washington DC yesterday, the US leader, who was represented by Ambassador Johnnie Carson, the US Assistant Secretary on African Issues, said that Boko Haram capitalised on popular frustrations with the nation’s leaders, poor government, ineffective service delivery, and dismal living conditions for many northerners.

 “Over the past year, Boko Haram has created widespread insecurity across northern Nigeria, inflamed tensions between various communities, disrupted development activities, and frightened off investors. 

The near daily spate of bombings and attacks that have claimed the lives of thousands of Nigerians is unacceptable, and the United States strongly condemns this violence” In his speech at the occasion, President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, said that Boko Haram was not only a northern problem, but a Nigerian problem with global implications.

 “This is outright terrorism, not legitimate political activity or the airing of grievances. By refusing to designate Boko Haram as a foreign terrorist organisation, the United States is sending a very clear message, not just to the federal government of Nigeria, but to the world – that the murder of innocent Christians, and Muslims who reject Islamism, and I make a clear distinction here between Islam and Islamism, are acceptable losses,” Oritsejafor surmised.

Revealed: How bin Laden plotted to bring down Air Force One to kill Obama

A fascinating set of writings from Osama bin Laden's final hideout made public today reveal the al Qaeda boss' growing anger with his underlings - and the group's shocking plan to assassinate President Obama. 

The documents were part of the 'treasure trove' of material seized by U.S. Navy SEALs during the raid of bin Laden's compound in Abottabad, Pakistan in which the terror leader was killed. The documents were posted online today by the U.S. Army's Combating Terrorism Center at West Point. The center's 62-page report details 17 newly declassified documents from the terror leader, dated between September 2006 and April 2011, just before his death.

 Bin Laden wished especially to target airplanes carrying Gen David Petraeus and even President Obama, reasoning that an assassination would elevate an 'totally unprepared' Vice President Joe Biden into the presidency and plunge the U.S. into crisis. The terror leader writes: 'I asked Shaykh Sa'id, Allah have mercy on his soul, to task brother Ilyas to prepare two groups - one in Pakistan and the other in the Bagram area of Afghanistan - with the mission of anticipating and spotting the visits of Obama or Petraeus to Afghanistan or Pakistan to target the aircraft of either one of them. 

'The reason for concentrating on them is that Obama is the head of infidelity and killing him automatically will make Biden take over the presidency for the remainder of the term, as it is the norm over there. Biden is totally unprepared for that post, which will lead the U.S. into a crisis. 'As for Petraeus, he is the man of the hour in this last year of the war, and killing him would alter the war's path.' The revelations come two days after Obama made a surprise visit to the region, where Obama appeared at Bagram Air Force Base to declare that a defeat of al Qaeda is 'now within our reach.' 

 One selection of documents - written last year - describe al Qaeda's campaign ahead of the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, and the best American media channels to 'deliver our messages.' In particular, the notorious terror group expresses its disdain for Fox News, says CNN is working for the U.S. government and ABC is 'all right.' The letters, purportedly written by al Qaeda operative and spokesman Adam Gadahn, say: 'From the professional point of view, they are all on one level except (Fox News) channel which falls into the abyss as you know, and lacks neutrality too.' 

 'As for the neutrality of CNN in English, it seems to be in cooperation with the government more than the others.' It goes on: 'ABC channel is all right; actually it could be one of the best channels, as far as we are concerned. It is interested in al Qaeda issues, particularly the journalist Brian Ross, who is specialized in terrorism. 'The channel is still proud for its interview with [bin Laden]. It also broadcasted excerpts from a speech of [Gadahn] on the fourth anniversary, it also published most of that text on its site on the internet.'

Later, Gadahn says he is open to sending materials to all of the networks except Fox News, saying 'let her die in her anger.' In other letters written by bin Laden himself, he fretted about dysfunction in his terrorist network and the loss of trust from Muslims he wished to incite against their government and the West. In a 2010 missive, the terror boss wrote: 'I plan to release a statement [announcing] that we are starting a new phase to correct [the mistakes] we made; in doing so, we shall reclaim, God willing, the trust of a large segment of those who lost their trust in the jihadis.'

 While bin Laden saw al Qaeda's standing with Muslim populations at risk of crumbling, the documents show he remained focused on attacking Americans and coming up with plots, however improbable, to kill U.S. leaders. The correspondence shows a leader revered but sometimes ignored by field commanders, who dismissed him as out of touch even as he urged them to keep attacking U.S. targets.

 Gadahn urged bin Laden to disassociate their organization from the acts of al Qaeda's spinoff operation in Iraq, known as AQI, and bin Laden told other terrorist groups not to repeat AQI's mistakes. The correspondence includes letters by then-second-in-command Abu Yahya al-Libi, taking Pakistani offshoot Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan to task over its indiscriminate attacks on Muslims. The al Qaeda leadership "threatened to take public measures unless we see from you serious and immediate practical and clear steps towards reforming [your ways]and dissociating yourself from these vile mistakes that violate Islamic Law," al-Libi wrote.

Bin Laden Plot Against Obama Outlined in Documents

The documents include one in which Bin Laden asked his top lieutenant, Atiyah Abd al-Rahman, to find out from a Pakistani terrorist named Ilyas Kashmiri “the steps he has taken” toward assassinating Mr. Obama and the top American general in the region. Mr. Kashmiri had long been one of the chief targets of American counterintelligence forces.

That account emerged in a column by David Ignaitius that was published Friday morning on the Web site of The Washington Post. Mr. Ignatius said he had been granted access to translations of the documents from the raid last year that have been declassified and will be made public soon.

It has been known since a few days after the Bin Laden raid in Abbottabad, Pakistan, last year that the documents carted off by the Americans included evidence of the Qaeda leader’s desire to assassinate Mr. Obama, who in the end struck first.

But the documents, as quoted by Mr. Ignatius, could provide new insights into Bin Laden’s thinking as his influence and capacity for action were hamstrung by the pressure of the American campaign to find him. In the documents, his wording can be bureaucratic, theological, convoluted, acerbic or quirky. Some directives run for dozens of pages.

Mr. Ignatius quoted documents in which Bin Laden wanted to organize cells in Afghanistan to attack aircraft carrying Mr. Obama and Gen. David H. Petraeus, who was then the top regional military commander and is now director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

Bin Laden said one result of the death of the president, whom he called “the head of infidelity,” would be to elevate Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., causing a crisis because he is “totally unprepared,” according to the documents. General Petraeus was “the man of the hour,” Bin Laden said, and his death “would alter the war’s path.”

Evidently, Bin Laden was worried that the deaths of so many innocent Muslims at Al Qaeda’s hands had damaged its reputation. And he mused that the Americans were shying away from the phrase “global war on terror” because it might ring badly in the ears of Muslims. He suggested that to broaden its own appeal to Muslims, Al Qaeda might want to change its name, which means “the Base,” to something like the “Monotheism and Jihad Group.”

Governor Who Tried To Sell Obama's Senate Seat Goes To Prison

Rod Blagojevich the ousted Illinois Governor reports to prison on Thursday to begin his 14-year sentence for trying to auction off President Barack Obama’s vacated Senate seat and a host of other corruption charges.

The governor was arrested in the midst of what prosecutors called a “political corruption crime spree” just weeks after Obama’s historic November 2008 election.

Mr. Rob was convicted of 17 corruption counts in June after his first trial resulted in a hung jury on all but one of the charges.

The expletive-laden transcripts of Rob’s secretly recorded conversations and his subsequent antics created fascinating political theatre and the flamboyant politico refused to leave quietly.

He held a press conference outside his home Wednesday where supporters chanted “free our governor” as Rob insisted “this is not over” and that everything he did “was on the right side of the law.”

“We are appealing the case. We have faith in the future, faith in the rule of law,” Rob told reporters.

Come fly with me, Dave: Cameron becomes the first world leader invited on Air Force One with President Barack Obama

Prime Minister David Cameron has become the first world leader invited to fly onboard Air Force One with President Barack Obama, in a very public signal of the value the US puts on its relationship with Britain.

The US President has asked Mr Cameron to join him on the world's coolest plane for a 70 minute trip to see a college basketball final in Ohio on Tuesday.

The flight is certainly a step up in the glamour stakes from Obama's recent meetings with other world leaders. French President Nicolas Sarkozy was taken to Ben's Chili Bowl for a $4.20 hot dog, while former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev received a Coke and cheeseburger at Ray's Hell Burger.

By contrast, the US military has previously confirmed the powerful plane costs $181,757 (£116,000) per hour to run - around half the cost of the average UK house.

White House officials reportedly described the trip on the "flying White House" as "a special gesture to show a very special relationship"

Video: President Obama's fake birth certificate saga.

Armed with a new 10-page report he commissioned, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Thursday he suspects the birth certificate President Obama released last year is a “computer-generated forgery” — and also raised questions about the authenticity of the president’s selective service registration card.

In an extensive — and at times combative — press conference in Phoenix, Sheriff Arpaiorepeatedly said he is not questioning the president’s legal status under the Constitution nor alleging fraud on Mr. Obama’s part, but did say there is evidence crimes have been committed by someone and his investigation continues.

“Based on all of the evidence presented and investigated, I cannot in good faith report to you that these documents are authentic,” Sheriff Arpaio said. “My investigators believe that the long-form birth certificate was manufactured electronically and that it did not originate in paper format as claimed by the White House.”

He said he would like Congress to investigate the matter, but short of that, he has an obligation to look into is because of potential violations of Arizona’s laws.

The White House did not respond to a request for comment Thursday.

Questions about Mr. Obama’s birth certificate have been a political sideshow for the past four years, and have persisted despite repeated denials by the White House and the release of evidence he was born in Honolulu on Aug. 4, 1961. That evidence included both a certificate of live birth released during the 2008 campaign and the long-form certificate last year.

Fact-checking organizations have concluded the certificates are authentic, and Mr. Obama has joked about those who questioned his birth. At last year’s White House Correspondents Association Dinner, soon after releasing his long-form certificate, he mocked Donald Trump, who had said his own investigators were looking into the matter.

But Sheriff Arpaio, who first built his national profile by creating tent cities for jail inmates and later by taking a tough stance on illegal immigration, could reignite questions among those who continue to believe Mr. Obama was born outside the U.S. and is ineligible to be president under the Constitution’s provision that the officeholder be a natural-born citizen.

Last December, the Justice Department accused Sheriff Arpaio of civil rights abuses within his department, but he said he began his investigation before that — in August 2011 — after tea party members from Surprise, a town within Maricopa County, signed a petition challenging the certificate.

Activists protested outside of the auditorium where Sheriff Arpaio held his press conference, accusing him of running a corrupt department. A few miles away, outside the Phoenix main library branch, a man was collecting signatures to back Lt. Mike Stauffer, a Scottsdale police officer and a Republican who is challenging Sheriff Arpaio in the upcoming election.

“We hate him here,” the man gathering signatures said of Sheriff Arpaio.

Sheriff Arpaio said he went into the investigation with an open mind, and would have been happy to clear Mr. Obama.

Instead, he said the former law enforcement investigators he deployed from his “cold case posse” — at no taxpayer expense, he said — were unable to back up the White House’s story.

His investigators said the image of the birth certificate released by the White House appears to have been created originally on a computer, rather than having been originally made on paper and then scanned.

Obama losing lustre with independent voters

Independent voters, who helped propel U.S. President Barack Obama to victory in the 2008 election, could be an obstacle in his bid for a second term in the White House, according to a New York Times/CBS News poll published on Wednesday.

A majority of independent voters have soured on Obama's presidency, disapprove of his handling of the economy and do not have a clear idea of what he hopes to accomplish if re-elected, the Times reported.

Only 31 percent of independent voters have a favourable opinion of the president and two-thirds say he has not made real progress in fixing the economy, the newspaper said.

In 2008, Obama won support from 52 percent of independent voters, compared with 44 percent who supported Republican presidential nominee John McCain.

Nearly half of independents say they have not formed an opinion of Mitt Romney, the front-runner in the Republican race for the nomination to challenge Obama in the November general election, the survey found.

Among all voters, 38 percent view Obama favourably, 45 percent unfavourably and 17 percent have no opinion, the survey showed. Voters were evenly divided in a matchup between Obama and Romney, but Obama fared better against other Republican candidates, the Times said

Looking at the Republican race, the poll suggests voters are not satisfied with the crop of candidates vying for the right to challenge Obama, the Times reported. Nearly 7 in 10 Republican voters said they want more choices.

The national telephone poll of 1,154, including 1,021 registered voters, was conducted January 12-January 17 and had a margin of error of plus or minus three percentage points.

Barrack Obama Campaign 'Wish List' Includes Clooney, Jay-Z, will.i.am, Alba & More

President Obama is looking to add a whole lot of star power to his re-election campaign.

Obama was joined on the campaign trail and supported by a huge stock of Hollywood stars four years ago, and his campaign staff last month put together a sprawling list of notable names that they'd like to see serve as surrogates and activists for the President as he looks to stave off the eventual Republican nominee. The Tennessean obtained the list, which was dated December 5th, and published it on Thursday.

Amongst the 190 names on the list are a number of stars that were very vocal supporters last cycle: will.i.am, Jay-Z, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, Eva Longoria, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Olivia Wilde.

Not all of those on the wish list plan on helping out, though; country band Lady Antebellum's publicist said that she was surprised to see the group on the list, and that "the band has never commented on their political affiliations nor do they plan to in the future."

Absent from the list is Matt Damon, who campaigned for Obama in 2008 but has become a vocal critic of his educational and Wall Street policies. The President has received less in donations from Democrats in Hollywood at this point in this campaign than he did during the last one, and his team has assigned an ambassador to help raise support and plan fundraisers for the President in Los Angeles later this year.

At one point, it was speculated that the President wanted to avoid being seen publicly with stars, though clearly that is no longer the case. On Wednesday, he even greeted Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at the White House.

Barrack Obama bans daughters from Facebook

But Barack Obama has admitted he has banned his daughters from using Facebook – because he doesn’t want ‘strangers knowing our business’.

The U.S. President said it ‘does not make much sense’ to put the most private details of his family life on public view.

His elder daughter, Malia, is 13, and just old enough to use Facebook. Her younger sister Sasha is ten.

But Mr Obama said he won’t consider allowing them to join the site until they are both four years older.

His admission seems somewhat ironic, given that he made full use of Facebook and other websites to encourage the young to vote for him in the presidential election – and to raise millions of dollars for his campaign.

In an interview, the President described the thinking behind the Facebook ban as: ‘Why would we want to have a whole bunch of people who we don’t know knowing our business? That doesn’t make much sense.’

But he seemed to have few qualms earlier this week when using Facebook to release the latest official family portrait.

The photograph shows the President sitting with First Lady Michelle and their two daughters, all grinning broadly.

It was given the caption: ‘The new Obama family portrait!’ and has so far drawn 71,000 ‘likes’ and 11,000 comments.

It was released to coincide with Christmas, but is not the official Christmas card, which shows an empty room in the White House with the family dog, Bo, lying by the fire.

“The struggle to end discrimination against lesbian, gay, bis*xual, and transgender persons is a global challenge, and one that is central to the United States’ commitment to promoting human rights.”

Since taking office, President Obama has demonstrated that his vision for a brighter future includes greater equality for Lesbian, Gay, Bis*xual and Transgender (LGBT) Americans. The President and this Administration are dedicated to eliminating barriers to equality, fighting discrimination based on s*xual orientation and gender identity, and engaging LGBT communities across the country.

The Administration’s dedication to LGBT rights does not stop at our borders, as the President made clear at the United Nations in September of this year when he said: “no country should deny people their rights because of who they love, which is why we must stand up for the rights of gays and lesbians everywhere.”

Today, President Obama issued a Presidential memorandum that directs all federal agencies engaged abroad to ensure that U.S. diplomacy and foreign assistance promote and protect the human rights of LGBT persons. Under the Obama Administration, agencies have already begun taking action to promote the fundamental human rights of LGBT persons everywhere. And now, following an interagency process coordinated by the National Security Staff, this memorandum directs the first-ever U.S. government strategy dedicated to combating human rights abuses against LGBT persons abroad.

Today’s memorandum applies to the Departments of State, the Treasury, Defense, Justice, Agriculture, Commerce, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the Export-Import Bank, the United States Trade Representative, and such other agencies as the President may designate.

The memorandum directs agencies to:

*Combat the criminalization of LGBT status or conduct abroad.

*Protect vulnerable LGBT refugees and asylum seekers.

*Leverage foreign assistance to protect human rights and advance nondiscrimination.

*Ensure swift and meaningful U.S. responses to human rights abuses of LGBT persons abroad.

*Engage International Organizations in the fight against LGBT discrimination.

Report on progress.

Even before today’s memo, U.S. agencies have been working to protect and promote the rights of LBGT persons around the world. Since January 2009, Secretary Clinton has directed the Department of State to champion a comprehensive human rights agenda—one that includes the protection of LGBT people.

Around the world, the State Department is:

*Engaging bilaterally and regionally in conjunction with U.S. embassies, civil society, and multilateral agencies to encourage countries to repeal or reform laws that criminalize LGBT conduct or status.

*Reinforcing the human rights of LGBT people in multilateral fora, such as the UN Human Rights Council. In June 2011, the United States joined South Africa and a cross-regional group of co-sponsors in passing the first-ever UN Human Rights Council resolution on the human rights of LGBT persons.

*Promoting human rights worldwide. U.S. embassies are declaring the United States’ support for the human rights of LGBT people through innovative public diplomacy. Ambassadors and embassies have hosted public discussions and private roundtables, published op-eds and supported Pride events.

*Supporting LGBT human rights defenders and civil society groups, with programmatic and financial assistance, including efforts to document human rights violations; build advocacy skills; provide advocates with legal representation; and, when necessary, relocation support.

*Reporting on the conditions of human rights of LGBT people in each of its annual, country-specific Human Rights Reports.

*Strengthening the Department’s personnel and consular policies. The Secretary extended the range of legally available benefits and allowances to same-s8x domestic partners of foreign service staff serving abroad. The United States also incorporated gender identity into federal equal employment opportunity policies in 2010.

BARRACK OBAMA'S UNCLE FACES DEPORTATION FOR ENTERING THE USA ILLEGALLY

President Obama’s uncle was back in court yesterday as his lawyer declared that he intends to challenge the legality of the traffic stop that resulted in his arrest on a drunken driving charge.

P. Scott Bratton, the lawyer representing Onyango Obama, said in an interview that he would file a motion “saying the police had no reason to stop him.’’ A hearing on the motion to suppress was scheduled for Jan. 12 in Framingham District Court.

A somber-faced Obama, a half-brother of the president’s father, sat silently during the brief hearing. Several people in the packed courtroom could be heard whispering excitedly about the presidential relative in their midst. A young man seated behind Obama, 67, quietly chanted, “Free Obama, free Obama.’’

Obama, a Framingham resident, was arrested by Framingham police Aug. 24 on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol, failure to yield, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. A breathalyzer test taken at the police station showed Obama’s blood-alcohol level to be 0.14 percent, according to a report filed by the Framingham Police Department.

Bratton said that if he can prove that Obama’s arrest was illegal, any evidence police gathered after he was stopped, such as the breathalyzer test or statements made by Obama, would be inadmissible in court.

The Framingham police report said Obama was stopped because he did not fully stop at a stop sign and failed to yield to traffic. Bratton declined to specify why he feels the police did not have grounds to stop him.

Bratton said that if the case goes to court he intends to challenge the breathalyzer findings. He has requested the police department’s maintenance records of the testing equipment as well as the record of Obama’s test result.

Obama, who was born in Kenya, faces other issues in immigration court. For reasons that are unclear, Obama was ordered deported in 1992 but has remained in the country. Bratton said that Obama’s immigration lawyer, also named Scott Bratton, has obtained a temporary stay of deportation and will appear before immigration officials next month to explain why Obama should be allowed to remain in the United States. Immigration officials have declined to comment on the status of his case, citing privacy laws.

Obama has been given a work permit enabling him to remain on his job as a night manager at Conti Liquors in Framingham. Obama, according to P. Scott Bratton, has worked there full time for 10 years.

Obama came to the United States in 1963 and attended private school in Cambridge while living with his older brother, the president’s father, for one year until his brother returned to Kenya.

Obama Assassination Attempt Charge

A man has been charged for attempting to assassinate US President Barack Obama last week.

Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez, 21, is accused of firing two shots at the White House and has been charged with attempting to kill Mr Obama or his staff.

He was arrested on Wednesday at a hotel in Pennsylvania.

He will be taken back to Washington to face the charge which carries up to life in prison.

The shots were fired at the White House while the President was away last Friday. However, it is believed that the Obama children may have been within the building.

Authorities said a man clad in black pulled his car within view of the residence and fired two bullets from an assault rifle fitted with a large scope.

They cracked the window of the first family's living quarters.

Later, US Park Police found an abandoned Honda Accord, with the rifle inside it, near a bridge leading out of Washington D.C.

Also recovered was an aluminum baseball bat, brass knuckles and a shopping receipt. Authorities have obtained surveillance footage from a Wal-Mart store.

Ortega-Hernandez has not been linked to any radical organisations but does have an arrest record in three states.

According to court filings, one of the suspect's friends said Ortega-Hernandez saw President Obama as the "devil" and was "preparing something".
