We all thought things like this didn't happen again but we thought wrong. Police in Benue state have arrested Joy Lember Lorzua, a 23 year old mother for allegedly k*lling and dumping her 2 day old son in the River Ujiiragbo in Gwer Local Government Benue State.
The Mother was arrested by members of a vigilante group who were operating in the community before handing her over to the police in Aliade, the Local Government Headquarters, According to a source the suspect delivered the baby a week ago and two days later she allegedly str*ngled the child.
”After k*lling the baby, she wrapped his remains in a polythene bag, put him in a carton and dumped it at the popular UjiiragboRiver.
The Divisional Police Officer, DPO, for Aliade, Suprintendent of Police Bitrus Madani who expressed dismay at the increasing crime wave in the local government area vowed that the Police would try their best to reduce the crime rate in the community because of the rate at which it's increasing.
