Just when the country is mourning the death of so much people in today's Borno bomb blast, Kaduna state has been hit badly too. Kaduna state governor,Nasir El-Rufai just confirmed the deaths of 20 after a suicide bomber detonated a bomb at Sabon Gari local government ,Zaria this morning .The bombing occurred at at workers’ biometric screening centre .The civil servants were registering to work for the new state government at the local government headquarters.

Police are reporting an explosion in a central Nigeria city that has seen attacks claimed by a radical Islamist sect.

The Kaduna State Police spokesperson told The Associated Press an explosion occurred on Tuesday morning in a residential neighbourhood in Kaduna.

Aminu Lawan said officers from the police's anti-bomb squad said they had found other unexploded bombs in the area.

He said there have been no reports of casualties.

A radical Islamist sect known as Boko Haram claimed a similar attack earlier this month.

Boko Haram is blamed for killing at least 286 people so far this year, according to an AP count. At least 185 people died in the sect's co-ordinated assault in January on Kano, the largest city of Nigeria's north
