Liberia Declares State Of Emergency Following Increasing Ebola Death Toll

Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has declared a 90-day state of emergency in the wake of the country’s increasing Ebola death toll, which is now at 271, including 32 health care workers.

According to the Liberia's Information Minister Lewis Brown, President Sirleaf has described the Ebola epidemic as a clear and present danger to the collective survival of the Liberian state.

“The president is responding to the grave situation we now confront. It is obviously a clear and present danger to the collective survival of our nation, and she has elevated our national emergency to this very high level,” he said.

The government has already established a National Task Force and instructed all non-essential government employees to stay home for 30 days. It has also closed schools and authorized the fumigation of all public buildings and the closing of markets in affected areas. Brown added that although Liberians enjoy the right to move freely, it is necessary to curtail some rights because of the epidemic.

“As I speak to you, Operation White Shield has been launched.  It is expected to gain full operational status by Friday.  Operation White Shield is a sort of quarantining operation by the military to ensure that we restrict the movement of people from affected communities to unaffected communities,” he said. Source

Women Face Arrest For Wearing Miniskirts In Uganda

Women in Uganda who go out wearing mini-skirts could face jail or a heavy fine under draconian new anti-badography laws. The legislation would also see television dramas and films banned if it is passed by parliament.

The Anti-badography Bill 2011 proposes that those found guilty of abetting badography be fined up to 10 million Ugandan shillings (£2,500) or jailed for up to 10 years, or both.

Simon Lokodo, Uganda’s ethics and integrity minister, who proposed the  Bill, said: ‘Any attire which exposes intimate parts of the human body, especially areas that are of erotic function, are outlawed. Anything above the knee is outlawed. If a woman wears a miniskirt, we will arrest her.’

The bill, which is backed by Deputy Attorney General Fred Ruhindi, would also see many films and TV dramas banned from the airwaves and internet use monitored.

Mr Lokodo, a former Catholic priest defrocked by the Vatican for his involvement in politics, said that would mean that celebrities such as BeyoncĂ© and Madonna would be banned from Ugandan television. ‘Television should not broadcast a sexy person,’ he said.

He added: ‘On the internet, we’re going to put a monitoring system so we know who has watched which website and we know who has watched badographic material.’

Mr Lokodo said the Bill was needed to protect women and children against exploitation and curb increasing immorality. If passed, the proposed law would mark a return to the era of dictator Idi Amin, who banned short skirts.

Many Ugandans are against the idea and some have taken to Twitter to express their outrage using the hashtag #SaveMiniSkirt.

But on Thursday the draft law ran into problems when some members of the Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee voiced concerns about its implications for freedoms guaranteed in the Constitution.

MPs said the Bill’s definition of badography was too broad and said it went against Uganda’s tradition of being a tolerant country. The Bill defines badography as any cultural practice, behaviour or form of communication that depicts unclad br***sts, thighs, butt00cks or genitalia.

The definition also includes anyone engaged in explicit sexual activities, erotic behaviour intended to cause sexual excitement and any indecent act or behaviour tending to corrupt morals.

But MPs criticised the lack of definition about what constituted ‘decent dressing’ and said the Bill could inhibit the sexual behaviour of married couples. They asked the Government to stop curtailing freedoms, which they said could scare away tourists.

Mr Lokodo responded by saying that the legislation will not outlaw ‘any act or behaviour between spouses or couples performed in fulfilment of their conjugal rights and responsibilities, where such matters are strictly private.’

He said that one of the dangers of badography is that it fuels sexual crimes against women and children, including rape and child molestation. He suggested that women who were victims of sexual violence were sometimes attacked because of their provocative dress.

‘One can wear what one wants, but please do not be provocative,’ he said. ‘People who are indecently dressed … do it provocatively and sometimes they are attacked.
‘An onlooker is moved to attack her and we want to avoid those areas. He is a criminal but he was also provoked and enticed.’ While some committee members said that badography was already outlawed under Ugandan law, Mr Lokodo said that the existing laws only covered the publication of obscene material and that the issue of badography transcended publication.

Mr Lokodo is no stranger to controversy. Last year he raided a workshop for gay activists and announced a ban on 38 pro-gay groups, saying they were undermining the national culture by promoting homosexuality.

BIZARRE!!! Woman Drowns Son Over Small Manh0000d

An Indonesian woman drowned her nine-year-old son in the bath, claiming she was worried that his “small man-hood” would affect his prospects for the future, a police spokesman said Thursday.

The 38-year-old woman from the Indonesian capital Jakarta told police her son had had a small man-h00d prior to being circumcised, but that it appeared to shrink further after the operation, police spokesman Rikwanto told AFP.

“She told police investigators that she k**led him as he would have a bleak future with his small man-hood,” Rikwanto said.

“She drowned her son in a bathtub filled with water. She then dressed him and laid him on a bed. After that, she went to a nearby police office to report her crime.”

Rikwanto said the woman was fully conscious of what she had done, but police ordered a psychiatry test to assess her mental condition.

Ugandan Boy Raised By Monkeys Tries To Adapt (PHOTOS)

It is believed that his parents were killed in 1982 during the war and the boy was abandoned in the forest. He was believed to be about three years old when he was left alone and lived in the wild for another three years.

As the soldiers roamed about the bushes, they spotted what looked unmistakably like a human being among the monkeys. They had to disperse the monkeys in order to rescue the boy, but it was a struggle because the monkeys put up a fight.
One adult female monkey held Mayanja tightly to her bosom in an attempt to protect him.
Mayanja has learnt rudimentary life skills like toilet manners. He knows when it is time for toilet and does not soil himself. He walks to the toilet door and waits for someone to help him. He likes sunbathing and staying in isolation and sometimes makes monkey-like sounds.

When he was found, he could not sit or stand, but only squat and jump. He neither smiled nor talked, but made jungle noises, which quickly got him a new name — Monkey Boy.

In the beginning, it was a struggle to take him through the bathroom procedure, but now it is his favourite activity. Though he cannot dress himself, he voluntarily lifts his legs in turn to wear trousers and stretches out his hands for the shirt.

He does not know where to keep his clothes, though.

Woman To Spend 7 Years In Jail For Raping Man

A female bartender who forced a 27-year-old mentally challenged man to be intimate with her was on Monday sentenced to an effective seven years in jail.

Patience Mbulaje (25) of Zimbabwe who was employed at Dande Bar denied aggravated indecent assault charges when she appeared before magistrate court.

The judge found her guilty of the offence after the prosecutor Ms Joice Fusire proved a solid case against her.

She was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but had three years of the sentence suspended on condition she did not commit a similar offence in the next five years.

In assessing the appropriate sentence, The judge noted that first female offenders deserve lenient sentences depending on the nature of the crime, but in this case there was nothing the court could do.

"Aggravated indecent assault is punishable as r**pe which has a term of imprisonment not exceeding 20 years and there is no option of a fine since it is a serious offence," she said.

Man kills second wife because she demanded S*****x in toilet

A HEATED altercation over conjugal rights turned fatal for a Dema woman who was allegedly axed to death by her husband, a polygamist, following her demands to be intimate with him in a toilet.

After allegedly bludgeoning his first wife, Godeon Mabwe turned against his second wife who was asleep in a separate room and struck her on the neck with the same axe before disappearing from the scene.

The incident which left Chakadenga business centre villagers dumbfounded, occurred on November 23 last year during the night just after the family had retired to bed.

It is alleged on the day in question, commotion started during the day when Mabwe's wives - Allerta Mapfumo and Maibaki Ndabale - accused their husband of failing to sustain an erection each time they needed him most.

During the night of the fateful day, there was a heated argument between Mabwe and Ndabale after the latter demanded to have s***x in the toilet since Mapfumo had gone to sleep in a separate room. Mabwe, however, allegedly declined the request citing exhaustion after a day's work and lacked interest, a reaction which angered Ndabale, prompting a more intense squabble.

As the situation turned volatile and being unable to contain his fury, Mabwe allegedly picked an axe from his workshop, struck Ndabale once on the neck. She collapsed and died on the spot.

Still armed with the same axe, Mabwe proceeded to the room where Mapfumo was asleep and struck her once on the neck before disappearing from the scene leaving the axe behind.

The magistrate court found Goliath Nyirenda (27) guilty of the offence and committed him to the High Court for senticing . He was caught abusing the chicken on November 18 last year.

Mr Tiwilili said the offence was a serious one which carried a maximum sentence of 15 years and fell under the jurisdiction of the High Court.

Nyirenda was convicted of one count of unnatural offence contrary to section155b of the Criminal ptocedure code  (CPC), a charge he denied.

Nyirenda said during trial that on the fateful night around 22:00 hours, he returned from a drinking spree and was later woken up by the owner of the chicken Gift Michelo.

He said Mr Michelo locked him in his house and went to call his neighbours before he was handed over to the police for no reason.

Nigerian Pastor Brutally Beaten For 'Fingering' Woman

A 32-year old Nigerian pastor, Kehinde Boluwaji, has landed himself in trouble for allegedly dipping his fingers and pouring salt inside a woman’s private part under the false pretence of carrying out deliverance on her.

Boluwaji, who hails from Ondo State, Southwest Nigeria, reportedly lied to the victim, 22-year old Busola Adebayo that she was possessed of a strange spirit that will cause her untimely death if she was not delivered.

He also told Busola that the bad dreams she always had will not allow her to get a husband and when she eventually gets married, she will not get pregnant and have children.

He told her the deliverance will start from her private part to other parts of her body.

Boluwaji then invited and locked her in his one room apartment at 7, Arounmalase street, Ijeshatedo, Lagos for ‘prayer and deliverance’.

According to the victim, “he ordered me to remove my dress and pant and sit on a floor and spread my legs wide open while he was busy muttering and pretending he was praying.

“He brought out a white handkerchief and salt and first ordered me to pour it inside my private part and later joined me in doing so. He started fingering me, pretending that he was praying. He used the handkerchief and cleaned it and took it away.”

On why she did not raise an alarm, Busola said she was overwhelmed by the prophecy he told her.

She was later rescued by the victim’s friend who saw her when she entered the pastor’s room and raised an alarm. This forced the pastor to open the door and by then she was still nude.

The neigthbours descended on the pastor and battered him before the police at Ijeshatedo division rescued and took him to the station.

He was charged to a Magistrate’s Court on a two-count charge of conduct likely to cause the breach of public peace contrary to Sections 166 and 348 of the Criminal Code Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.

Part of the charge reads: “That you pastor Kehinde Boluwaji on the same date, time and place did conduct yourself in a manner likely to cause breach of public peace by asking the victim to use salt to wash her private part.”

He pleaded not guilty.

The trial magistrate, D. T. Olatokun granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.

He was remanded in prison custody because nobody showed up to perfect his bail.

The matter was adjourned till 11 Febuary, 2012.

Wife Cuts Husband’s Nose And Hand On New Year's Eve

A woman was arraigned in court for the charges of assault after slashing her husband’s hand and nose with a machete on New Year’s Eve.

The court heard that on 31st December last year at Sipili Trading Center, Esther Nyokabi was at her home in the evening and her husband Daniel Githura arrived late after a drinking spree.

Nyokabi who was waiting for him started an argument. Prosecutor Charles Mugambi said that Nyokabi and her husband were fighting over misuse of money that was set aside to buy clothes and good food for Christmas and New Year.

Her infuriated husband however tried beating her and in her defense she took a machete and slashed his nose and mouth. He was later rushed to Laikipia District Hospital where he was treated.

Resident magistrate Peter Muholi adjourned the court and ordered that Nyokabi be held at Nayahururu Women’s Prison till the next hearing to give the prosecutor time to further investigate the case and produce the weapon used during the incident.

Woman Sues Husband To Court Because He Demanded S***x During Her Relative's Funeral

A woman who was mourning the death of her close relative revealed in court that her husband ws pestering her for s**x at the funeral service.

Rumbidzai Gapare told the court that she was failing to mourn the death of her relative who passed away recently because her husband Chengetai Nyabadza was disturbing her demanding s**x.

It seems it's one of his sexual fantasies. This came to light at the Harare Civil court where Rumbidzai was seeking a protection order against Chengetai.

"We have a very close relative who passed away and the funeral was being held at our house, but I was finding it hard to concentrate because my husband would insist on having s**x with me. He was sleeping in the tuck shop and I was sleeping in the dining room with other women but he would call me from the dining room demanding to have s**x with me," said Rumbidzai.

She went on to tell the court that Chengetai was also in the habit of intentionally tearing condoms that they would be using while having s**x.

"I am not yet ready to have another child so I told Chengetai that we would only sleep together using condoms but I have realised he deliberately tears the condom so that I fall pregnant and lie that it burst due to fricton," she added.

Responding to the claims, Chengetai told the court that Rumbidzai was not giving him his conjugal rights.

"The problem that I am having with my wife is that she is depriving me of s**x. She moved out of our matrimonial bedroom and is sleeping with my mother in the guest room," said Chengetai.

Magistrate Miriam Banda, who presided over the case, granted the protection order which bars Chengetai from sexually and physically abusing his wife.

Pastor Flees After R**ping And Impregnating Disabled Church Member

Powerlessness and silence move hand-in-hand. While many women in her position would have chosen silence as the solution - considering that it is often classified as golden - Kudakwashe Mutongwizo chose to speak out.

Raped by her pastor on March 10 2012, the expecting mother said she was hopeful she would deliver a normal child despite the circumstances surrounding her pregnancy. Born 25 years ago in a family of six in Chitandara Village, Zimbabwe, under Chief Chihota, the young woman has been disabled since birth, but prefers to be described as "not so able-bodied".

Mutongwizo had a difficult childhood. She recalls: "I was never at ease with other children my age. They would either shun or mock me because I could not run around like they did."

During high school years at Jairos Jiri Centre for the Disabled, she was shocked by the extent to which disabled young women faced sexual and reproductive health challenges. She invested her trust in a man of the cloth in ZAOGA Church's Chitandara Circuit.

"At first I thought as a deacon, he was a man of God with sincere intentions," she said. "He would push my wheelchair whenever I met him and I began feeling at ease in his presence." Mutongwizo said.

The day she was raped, the deacon visited her homestead and asked that she accompany him to the shops, about 2km away.

"The deacon was the closest to a friend to me because we went to church together and he had become like part of our family, as he was also a neighbour. We joked and laughed as usual all the way to the shops," she said.

She said the deacon suddenly changed his behaviour and diverted the route to a secluded area where he lifted her off her wheelchair, tore her undergarments and forced himself on her.

When they returned home, the pastor confessed his sin to Mutongwizo's sister and they agreed to keep the matter under wraps. Four months later, her 72-year-old father noticed she was pregnant and when she spilled the beans, he confronted the pastor, who acknowledged responsibility. He assured the family he would take care of his daughter and pay "damages" for the violation.

The father (name withheld) said: "Since the matter had been discussed at the traditional court, the family assumed that the deacon would honour his side of the deal and take care of my daughter."

The pastor fled the area and is currently on the run. He is on the police "Wanted" list and is believed to be hiding in South Africa. His mother and relatives, however, claimed she was responsible for her misery because their son would never abuse a disabled woman.

Married Woman Caught having s**x with Tenant in Bathroom

An Illustration – Not the Real picture
A cheating married woman in Rujeko C in Masvingo, had s**x with her tenant in the bathroom on Tuesday while her husband watched television in the lounge. When she took a long time to return from the bathroom the husband followed her to the bathroom and rumbled her.

The incident which has become a subject of discussion in the entire Rujeko suburb took place at around 9pm when the woman who has been identified only as Mai Shield was found having a good time with a man identified as Chingwa in the bathroom. According to one resident, who only identified himself as Sam, the woman was watching television in the company of her husband, only identified as Mr Tafi or Baba Shield.

He said while the two were enjoying watching television, Mai Shield allegedly received a message on her phone after which he told her husband that she wanted to take a bath as she was feeling hot. “Mai Shield received an sms on his phone after which she left for the bathroom on the pretext that she was going to bath.

The truth of the matter is that Chingwa whose philandering with the married woman is suspected to be spanning many years had sneaked into the bathroom and sent an sms calling her lover,” said Sam. When the two met in the bathroom, the woman locked the door and started making love.

However, all hell broke loose when the woman’s husband knocked on the bathroom door to find out if Mai Shield was still bathing. ”Mr Tafi had to come to the bathroom to find out if his wife was still in, bathing, since she had taken long. The man was worried about the time the woman had spent in the bathing room and went on to find out, only to get the shock of his life,” he said.

He said when Mr Tafi knocked at the door the love birds were having a time of their lives that Mai Shield could not respond to the knock. However, when Mr Tafi whose suspicion had mounted threatened to break the door the woman said she had just finished bathing and would open the door.

Mr Tafi is said to have got frustrated that he forced open the door and he found Chingwa, zipping his trousers while Mai Shield stood motionless. A scuffle ensued between Chingwa and Mr Tafi but eventually Chingwa managed to break free from the enraged man’s grip and made good his escape.Chingwa is said to be a tenant at one of the man’s houses in Rujeko A and also Mr Tafi’s friend.

“You know Chingwa is a friend to this man but for reasons better known to him he has been seeing his wife since time immemorial and as that is not enough he is a tenant at one of the man’s houses in Rujeko A. The man has two houses,” said another resident. He said the woman is known to be of loose morals and last year she was again caught making love by his daughter who is now married.

“The woman has a knack of sleeping with her tenants, last year she was caught making love to a man who works at one of the local funeral assurance companies in Masvingo. We thought she has stopped but it shows she will never,” he said. After being caught being red-handed the woman escaped to her daughter’s house in Rujeko B. The man went to report the case to Rujeko police base where he left the officers in stitches when he brought a plate full of Sadza as exhibit.

“Mr Tafi allegedly went to report the case at the police where he showed the officers on duty, a plate full of Sadza, that he believed could have been left for Chingwa, by his wife,” the resident said. Masvingo provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Peter Zhanero could neither confirm nor deny the incident and promised to check with Rujeko police base.

“That incident is not to my knowledge and chances are that it could have been handled by our officers at Rujeko base. They could have counselled the couple and decided not to record it but I will check,” said Insp Zhanero However, a police source at the base confirmed receiving the case but professed ignorance on whether a docket was opened or not.

MOTHER LOVE: EIGHT LIES OF A MOTHER (A MUST READ!)

Mother you mean the world too me------ EIGHT LIES OF A MOTHER This story begins when I was a child:
I was born poor. Often we hadn't enough to eat. Whenever we had some food, Mother often gave me her portion of rice. While she was transferring her rice into my bowl, she would say "Eat this rice, son! I'm not hungry." This was Mother's First Lie.

As I grew, Mother gave up her spare time to fish in a river near our house; she hoped that from the fish she caught, she could give me a little bit more nutritious food for my growth. Once she had caught just two fish, she would make fish soup. While I was eating the soup, mother would sit beside me and eat what was still left on the bone of the fish I had eaten; my heart was touched when I saw it. Once I gave the other fish to her on my chopstick but she immediately refused it and said, "Eat this fish, son! I don't really like fish. “This was Mother's Second Lie.

Then, in order to fund my education, Mother went to a Match Factory to bring home some used matchboxes, which she filled with fresh matchsticks. This helped her get some money to cover our needs. One wintry night I awoke to find Mother filling the matchboxes by candle light. So I said,” Mother, go to sleep; it's late: you can continue working tomorrow morning." Mother smiled and said "Go to sleep, son! I'm not tired. “This was Mother's Third Lie. When I had to sit my Final Examination, Mother accompanied me.

After dawn, Mother waited for me for hours in the heat of the sun. When the bell rang, I ran to meet her. Mother embraced me and poured me a glass of tea that she had prepared in a thermos. The tea was not as strong as my Mother's love, Seeing Mother covered with perspiration; I at once gave her my glass and asked her to drink too. Mother said "Drink, son! I'm not thirsty!” This was Mother's Fourth Lie.

After Father's death, Mother had to play the role of a single parent. She held on to her former job; she had to fund our needs alone. Our family's life was more complicated. We suffered from starvation. Seeing our family's condition worsening, my kind Uncle who lived near my house came to help us solve our problems big and small. Our other neighbours saw that we were poverty stricken so they often advised my mother to marry again. But Mother refused to remarry saying "I don't need love."

This was Mother's Fifth Lie............. After I had finished my studies and gotten a job, it was time for my old Mother to retire but she carried on going to the market every morning just to sell a few vegetables. I kept sending her money but she was stead fast and even sent the money back to me. She said, "I have enough money."

That was Mother's Sixth Lie. I continued my part-time studies for my Master's Degree. Funded by the American Corporation for which I worked, I succeeded in my studies. With a big jump in my salary, I decided to bring Mother to enjoy life in America but Mother didn't want to bother her son; she said to me" I'm not used to high living. "That was Mother's Seventh Lie. In her dotage, Mother was attacked by cancer and had to be hospitalized. Now living far across the ocean, I went home to visit Mother who was bed ridden after an operation. Mother tried to smile but I was heart broken because she was so thin and feeble but Mother said,"Don't cry, son! I'm not in pain. " That was Mother's Eighth Lie. Telling me this, her eighth lie, she died.

YES, MOTHER WAS AN ANGEL! M - O - T - H - E - R ................................................... "M" is for the Million things she gave me, "O" means Only that she's growing old, "T" is for the Tears she shed to save me, "H" is for her Heart of gold, "E" is for her Eyes with love-light shining in them, "R" means Right, and right she'll always be, Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER" a word that means the world to me.........
