'Dead' Boy Sits Up, Asks for Water at his Own Funeral, Dies Again

A two-year-old boy sat up in his coffin and asked for water before laying back down again lifeless, according to a Brazilian news website. 

 In a case that seems almost too incredible to be true, ORM claimed that Kelvin Santos stopped breathing during treatment for pneumonia at a hospital in Belem, northern Brazil.

 He was declared d*ad at 7.40pm on Friday and his body was handed over to his family in a plastic bag. The child's devastated family took him home where grieving relatives held a wake throughout the night, with the boy's body laid in an open coffin.

 But an hour before his funeral was due to take place on Saturday the boy apparently sat up in his coffin and said: 'Daddy, can I have some water?'. The boy's father, Antonio Santos, said: 'Everybody started to scream, we couldn't believe our eyes. Then we thought a miracle had taken place and our boy had come back to life.

 'Then Kelvin just laid back down, the way he was. We couldn't wake him. He was d*ad again. Mr Santos rushed his son back to the Aberlardo Santos hospital in Belem,where the doctors reexamined the boy and confirmed that he had no signs of life. He said:

 'They assured me that he really was dead and gave me no explanation for what we had just seen and heard.' The boy's family decided to delay the funeral for an hour in the hope that he would wake up again, but ended up burying him at 5pm that day in a local cemetery.

Brazilian "Incredible Hulk" Discovers His Green Paint Can Never Come Out Again(PHOTOS)

It's not easy being green - as one Brazilian man proved when he painted himself to look like the Incredible Hulk - and found the colour wouldn't wash off. Pool attendant Paulo Henrique dos Santos, from Vila Cruzeiro, dressed up as the comic book hero for a running event, but got a nasty shock when the time came to remove the green paint. 

 After frantic scrubbing, the hapless chap realised he'd used a paint reserved for ballistic missiles and nuclear submarines. According to Brazilian news site Paulo had hoped to buy a brand of paint he'd used on a previous outing as the Hulk, but the shop he went to didn't have it. Desperate to undo his inking, the would-be superhero spent Sunday and Monday having 'about 20 baths,' and was forced to sleep in a room lined with plastic bags. 

 He feared the industrial paint could actually give him lead poisoning, though he appears to have had no symptoms. The 35-year-old, who also works as a DJ in Rio de Janeiro and is known as MC Marronzinho, has achieved overnight celebrity in his local area. As if being bright green wasn't embarrassing enough, the local press ran pictures of his mother trying to remove the paint - and referred to her as his girlfriend.

'I've got my freedom back': The real-life Rapunzel who sold her hair for $5,000 to buy family house

A real-life Rapunzel girl who cut her hair for the first time has given her family the fairytale home they always dreamed of. Natasha Moraes de Andrade, 12, wept as her 1.6m mane was sheared for the first time ever. But now she says it has given her a new life.

 Natasha, who lives in a shanty town in Rio de Janeiro, was previously unable to do things enjoyed by other children such as going to the beach. It took four hours every week to wash her hair and an hour and a half to brush every day, and made her life a misery.

 Now she has had it all hacked off into a simple bob of just 40cm long, and washing her hair only takes five minutes. And while Natasha previously slept in a tiny, windowless room, she got B$9,000 (about £3,000) from selling the hair for extensions which she has put towards a new home for her family. 'I cried at first when I was at the hairdressers to get it cut,' she says.

Real-life Rapunzel, 12, set to cut hair for the first time... and plans to sell the 5ft 2in mane for £3,500 (PHOTOS)

A twelve-year-old girl who has been dubbed the real-life Rapunzel after refusing to cut her hair for her whole life is to cut it all off - and plans the 5ft 2in mane of hair for £3,500 to be made into extensions.

Natasha Moraes de Andrade, who lives in an impoverished shanty town in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, has never had a haircut. At 5ft 3in, she is just one inch taller than the length of her wavy chestnut hair - and the maintenance it requires sees her use a full bottle of shampoo every week.

Natasha spends four hours per week washing her hair and up to an hour-and-a-half brushing it each day. She has to carry it around when she walks, and fold it onto her lap when she sits down.

And children often stand outside her house and shout 'Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair.'

Her mother Catarina Moraes de Andrade, 42, said admirers told her never to cut her daughter's beautiful hair as it was so thick and long.

But now she's urging her girl to chop it off because it's interfering with her life.

Mrs Moreas de Andrade said: 'At the moment she is like a prisoner. She just goes from school to home again.

'She can't do anything else, like sports, because her hair gets in the way. The school told me she should get it cut so she can have her freedom like other girls her age.

'People stare. Sometimes, they call out at Natasha in the street and try to touch her hair.

'We spend about about £400 a year on shampoo, which is a lot of money for us.
