The suspect who is a brother to one of the five members of the gang who is still at large are said to be in habit of raping unsuspecting ladies was arrested by men of the Bariga Police Division, led by their DPO, Mr. Edmund Afraimu after the victim reported the matter at the police station.

It was reported on June 1 that while recounting her experience said she was tested to be HIV positive after she was gang-raped by the five men in January while on her way to work in Lekki around 5:05am.

The victim who seeking justice said aside being raped she was disposed of her money and other valuables by the men said she believes that there are other victims like her who have refused to speak out to avoid shame.There will be no hiding place for the wicked.

Police arrest serial rapist in Ekiti Police arrest serial rapist in Ekiti

The men of the Ekiti State Police Command have arrested a 22-year-old Tope Jinadu, who is said to be a serial rapist and a robber.This was contained in a statement made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Mohammed Jimoh.

According to the statement, Jinadu has been terrorising Ado-Ekiti and its environs for sometime.The police said the suspect was connected with some robberies and raping of some ladies.

The suspect, who is a native of Ado -Ekiti was arrested at his hideout on April 1, 2012, by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad during a raid at Ojumose area of Ado-Ekiti.The PPRO said the suspect had been declared wanted before he was eventually arrested.

Some of the recovered items from Jinadu, according to the police include, 17 Blackberry phones, eight HP laptops, nine DVD players, three gold necklaces and an undisclosed amount of money.Jimoh said other members of Jinadu’s gang who were at large had been declared wanted.He said they would be caught and charge them to court when investigation was concluded.

Victim bites off rapist’s tongue

The South African Police Service (SAPS), has said that a rape suspect, whose tongue was bitten off by the victim would appear in court when discharged from hospital.

SAPS spokesman, Lt. Col. Leonard Hlathi, told newsmen in Johannesburg on Tuesday that a teenager bit off a man’s tongue while she was being raped.

“The 17-year-old girl was held up by an armed man and his accomplice, and dragged into a bush on Monday. The man with the gun told his partner to get alcohol and some friends, to gang rape the girl.

“He then forcefully undressed her and began to rape her.

“In the process, the suspect tried to kiss the victim, but she bit off his tongue and ran to a nearby house for help,” he said.

He said the Police were alerted and they tracked down the man and arrested him.

“The man is being kept under police guard in hospital, and is expected to appear in court when discharged.”

He also said the Police was looking for another man whose finger and tongue were bitten off by a woman he raped last Friday.

“The woman was hitch-hiking to Carolina on Friday, when the man gave her a lift around 6p.m.

“The man stopped the car near Mooiplaas farm and hit the woman with a soft drink bottle several times on the upper body; he then dragged the woman to the bushes and raped her.

“While raping the woman, the man tried to kiss her but she bit off half of his tongue, forcing him to jump away in pain.”

Hlathi said the suspect tried to get hold of the woman again, “ She then bit off the little finger of his right hand and ran away, leaving the two body parts at the scene.

“It seemed the man fled with his finger and piece of the tongue, because police did not find them at the scene. We are appealing to members of the public to help us arrest him”.

He said the woman was receiving treatment in a hospital.

“The suspect was still at large. But a case of rape had been opened for investigation.

Woman To Be Freed From Jail After Agreeing To Marry Her Rapist

A 19yr old Afghan woman, Gulnaz, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for adultery after relatives discovered the unmarried lady was pregnant. (It's a crime in Afghanistan to have s*x outside of marriage).

Gulnaz told authorities that her cousin's husband had raped, and made her pregnant and that she had tried to fight him off on the night he attacked her. The alleged rapist, who was also arrested and locked up for adultery, denied it was rape.

After Gulnaz incarceration, the EU and other world human rights organizations got involved and called on the Afghan president to release the rape victim. Yesterday Thursday December 1, Afghan President Hamid Karzai pardoned Gulnaz, on the condition that she will marry her attacker.

Gulnaz had initially refused a judge's offer of freedom if she agreed to marry the rapist. She changed her mind because she didn't want her child, who had been born in prison, to grow up in prison. And also because that was the the only way to bring peace between her, her family and her rapists family, as she is said to have brought shame to both families.

About half of the 300 to 400 women jailed in Afghanistan are imprisoned for so-called "moral crimes" such as s*x outside marriage, or running away from their husbands, according to reports by the United Nations and research organizations.

53 Years Old False Prophet Arrested For Raping 17 Years Old Daughter

An Ogun State Chief Magistrate’s Court, southwest Nigeria, has ordered that a prophet, Elijah Olufemi Soneye, be remanded in prison for allegedly torturing his 17-year-old daughter. He allegedly sucked her br*asts and ordered her to hold his penis under threat.

The 53-year-old prophet of New Word Covenant Embassy, Cherubim & Seraphim Church, Ijoko, Ogun State, southwest Nigeria, was arraigned before the Ota magistrate’s court on a two-count charge of torture and assault.

The charge reads: “that you Elijah Oluwafemi Soneye, on 14 October 2011, at about 3 p.m. at New Word Covenant Embassy, Oshodi Chamber, Ijoko, unlawfully tortured your 17-year-old daughter by tying her with a cow rope and caning her till she had bruises all over her body, and also assaulting her by sucking her br*asts and ordering her to hold your manhood under threat until you ejaculated, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 360 of the Criminal Code.”

The accused pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistate, Alhaji A. Adenariwo granted him bail in the sum of N120,000 with two sureties.

The case was adjourned till 17 November 2011.

Meanwhile, mother of the victim, Mrs Soneye, outside the court said that she had been separated from her husband for the past 15 years because he was maltreating her.

She said she narrowly escaped being killed when he allegedly held her by the neck for some minutes until she started urinating on herself.

She stated that her son Michael Soneye and the victim told her that they wanted to go and live with their father because she did not have enough money to take proper care of them, and she obliged.

According to her, after four months, the victim came and told her that the father wanted to make love to her and she ran away from him.

She said on 15 October, her friend called to say that her daughter was in her house. She rushed home and when she saw her daughter , the girl’s body was swollen and there were bruises all over her body.

Mrs. Soneye said her daughter told her that their father was making love to her.

She was taken to a hospital where she is currently receiving treatment.

The doctor also confirmed that the girl has been deflowered.

The girl reportedly stated that her father told her he is the only one that can make love to her and she should never allow any other person to make love to her.

Pastor rapes 12-yr-old chorister.

Sapele-Police in Edo State have arrested a pastor who allegedly raped a 12-year-old choir member of his church at Afuda in Uromi,Esan North-East Local Government Area of the state.

Some residents of the area, who were infuriated by the incident, have destroyed some church equipment, while the pastor was detained at the Uromi Police Divisional headquarters and is undergoing interrogation.



Narrating her ordeal to newsmen Tuesday, the victim said she had gone to church for choir rehearsals when the pastor grabbed her and had carnal knowledge of her in his office.

She said herself and three other children were in the church awaiting the arrival of other members, when the pastor and founder of the church drove into the premises and asked of their names.

She said after they had given their names, the pastor called her into his office, asked her to sit on his laps and later raped her. She said the incident made her bleed.Father of the victim, an operator of a rental service, told newsmen that he was barely two months old as a member of the church.

He noted with regret how joining the church had caused him pains, because he never expected that his daughter could undergo such unfortunate experience.He appealed to government and the police to ensure that justice was done in the case to serve as a deterrent to other randy pastors.

A 20 year old robbery gang member rapes pregnant woman

A 20 year old robbery gang member Seyi Lawson who specializes in raping female victims of the gang operation has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command.

Currently the robber is  singing like Kennery birds in detention The suspect, who is a secondary school dropout now in custody at the Eleweran Police Headquarters, Abeokuta, was identified as part of a robbery gang terrorizing innocent residents of both Ogun and Ondo States. 

NEWSMEN reliably gathered that, nemesis caught up with him after raping a housewife with 2 months pregnancy, when his gang invaded the home of their victim Adekola Ibrahim in Abiade village in Abigi area of Ogun State. 

The gang having robbed the household the sum of N138, 000 and three mobile phones, the s*x addicted suspect added a new dimension to the operation as he mounted on the woman and had s*xual intercourse with her. 

Ironically, while Seyi Lawson was having s*x with the woman, his gang member held the husband hostage in another room, and on completion of his s8x urge, the robbers bolted away, until few days later when luck ran against the gang

However, on October 1, 2011 luck ran against the gang, as two of the suspects were apprehended, and following further intensive investigations, the arrest of two suspects later led to the arrest of the rapist robbery suspect.

Other gang members in police net as at weekend according to authentic sources reports that, other gang members include; Tunde Bola, Taiwo Adefuwa, Ganiu Taiwo and Anifowose Sunday. 

When NEWSMEN spoke with the rapist robber from his detention he confirmed raping the woman, but said he was not aware that she was pregnant, adding that it was devil that pushed him into the act. 

He said he did not use condom during the s*x. ‘It was true I raped her, but I didn't know that she was pregnant, it was devil that pushed me into it, I did while one of us held her husband in captivity, but when we heard shout of thief, I hurriedly left her before we bolted away' the suspect told NEWSMEN. 

Meanwhile, when contacted Commissioner of Police, Nicholas Ndemkem confirmed the incident, adding that the suspects on completion of investigations would be charge to court.

3 Zimbabwean ladies Arrested For Raping 124 Men In 11 Days

This is like a movie script difficult to believe, but anyways it is true. Three Zimbabwean ladies Rosemary Chakwizira, 24, Sophie Nhokwara, 26, and Netsai Nhokwara, 24 are currently in police custody for allegedly kidnapping, raping and collecting semen of men at gun point. 

They are always present at bars and fun places to source for their prey, who are mainly men without means of transportation. 

They offer the unsuspecting men lift, but then drug and drive them to secluded spots to complete their operation. Midlands police chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Charles Makono said the women came under suspicion after asking officers if they could retrieve the bag of condoms from their car, which had just been involved in an accident. 

33 used condoms containing semen was found in the bag. A police investigator also said: “So far, the three have denied raping men and have said they are prostitutes who find themselves so busy with clients that they do not have time to dispose the used condoms.

They said they intended to throw away the condoms.” Finding shows that semen was “selling like hot cakes” in neighbouring South Africa where a condom full could fetch as much as US$400.

70 yr old man arrested for defiling 8 yr old girl

A 70-year-old man, simply identified as Baba Sunday has been arrested by the police for allegedly defiling an eight-year-old girl in Lagos. 

The old man, who is currently facing interrogation at the Ilaje Police Station, was said to have taken the girl to a popular hotel (name withheld) in Bariga where he defiled the girl.

The suspect was said to have booked the hotel room for N10,000 before luring the girl to the place. The hotel managers did not suspect foul play when they initially saw the little girl going inside the room with the man, who is old enough to be her great grand parent. 

The receptionist in the hotel was said to have become worried when she checked the time and later discovered that the time was far spent and there was no mature girl that came with the man.

5 Lagos Men Gang Rapes 15 years Old Girl For 2 Weeks

A five-man gang which abducted a 15-year-old girl, raped and tortured her for two weeks has been smashed by the police in Lagos, southwest Nigeria. 

Although two members of the gang are still on the run, the police arrested three other members and a lady who lured the teenager to the gang’s den at Akesan, a suburb of Lagos. 

The suspects are to face trial at the Ikeja High Court after they were initially arraigned at Ejigbo Magistrate’s Court. The victim was abducted on her way to her house in Igando area and taken to a hideout. She was tortured and raped for two weeks by five men before she was rescued by the police at Akesan. 

After the victim’s parents reported to the police at Igando station that the girl was missing, the police began to search for her and rescued her from a hideout where she was kept. She sustained injuries on her body as a result of beatings by her captors, Newsmen learnt. The teenager is now receiving treatment at the Igando General Hospital. 

 The suspects arraigned are Tony Igbo, 32, Onyekachi Joshua, 34, Paul Ibeh and a 22-year old woman, Chika Eze, the victim’s friend who allegedly lured her to where she was abducted. The four suspects were charged to court with conspiracy, abduction, assault and rape. When the matter came up at the court, they pleaded not guilty. 

The presiding magistrate, Chief Magistrate Shery Solebo, ordered that the matter be transferred to High Court Six, Ikeja, Lagos where they will face the charges preferred against them by the police.

Man, 25, arrested for raping 80-yr-old woman

A 25 year-old man, Mannir Goma has been arrested by the police in Katsina State for allegedly raping an 80 year-old woman in Matazu Local Government Area of the state. 

Parading the suspect on Monday, the state’s Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed said Goma was arrested in Yelwa village shortly after he committed the crime.

Mohammed said the victim sustained severe injuries on her private part, and that she is now receiving treatment at the Matazu health centre. He further said that 15 other criminals, including armed robbery suspects were arrested by the police in the state last month. 

The commissioner added that nine out of the 15 were arrested in Kankara, Batagarawa, Katsina, Musawa and Malumfashi Local Government Areas of the state. He said police recovered N490,000, an AK 47 gun, Dane guns, five locally made pistols, rounds of ammunitions, a broken safe, army uniforms and charms from the suspects.

Mohammed said four others were arrested in Daura for allegedly breaking into shops and carting away four bags of cement, a bundle of roofing sheets and electronics.

The commissioner said among those in their custody, is a woman, who was arrested in Runka village in Safana Local Government area in connection with the murder of a police constable. He said the suspects would be charged to court as soon as police conclude investigation.

Add Insult to Injury? Accused Rapist Propose To Marry the Victim

Still trying to Cool off from the babrbaric Abia rape case ABSU RAPE SAGA, I was angered by this latest news that was just forwarded to me.

 As if it was not criminal enough to rape an innocent female, a 23-year old man, Samuel Godwin Effiong, who is facing a rape charge at Oshodi magistrate’s court, has made a shocking proposal to the 27-year old rape victim (name withheld) at the court by offering to marry her to compensate her. Effiong made the offer in the open court to the victim by proposing to marry her before the presiding magistrate, Mrs. Osho Adebiyi.

Effiong told the court, in the presence of the victim, that he was ready to marry the victim and take care of the baby if she was pregnant as a result of the rape. He said the proposal will facilitate the final settlement of the rape charge against him. Effiong was charged to court for allegedly raping the 27-year old woman under false pretence. He was alleged to have worn his brother’s military uniform and arrested the victim at Ikeja area

Instead of taking her to the barracks as he claimed while arresting her, he took her on a motorcycle to a hidden place at Mafoluku Oshodi where he raped her. He was however unlucky when someone who suspected their movement raised an alarm that attracted other neighbours and the police.

Effiong was eventually arrested and charged to court. He pleaded not guilty. The court granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum. When the matter came up, he made the offer so that he would regain his freedom. Lawyers who spoke to  news men this morning said despite offering to marry the victim, the accused will have to face trial to enable the law take its course.

The former Secretary-General of Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Lagos branch, Mr. Ike Ukor, said “No, the law will still have to take its course, unless the woman agrees to marry and drop the charge.” In his reaction, Festus Keyamo, legal practitioner, said: “the accused marriage proposal does not legalise the crime, though it all depends on the woman because once the woman drops the charge and says ‘I am no longer pursuing the case’ that will be the end of the case, as the prosecution needs the evidence of the woman to convict the man.”

Another lawyer, Mr. Paul Ogundele said as the issue is, the legal implication is that since the accused in the rape matter agrees to marry the victim, there is the likelihood of the case being frustrated, especially when the victim consents to the marriage since she is the sole witness in the case. They will be expected to give overwhelming evidence for the prosecution of the case.

Another Lagos lawyer, Mr. Tahiru Najim while also aligning himself with the opinion of other lawyers, said the man cannot be exonerated. “He is still liable in strict legal terms because it is the relationship that existed at the time the offence was committed that counts.” Mr. Alex Uzebu, another Lagos-based legal practitioner, said the offence had already been committed. 

It has no bearing at all with the marriage proposal. Just like a man who steals another man’s car and decided to return it after he was caught or offers to buy the car, the person is liable.” Orionye from the law firm of Ade Oyebanji & Co. opined that the man cannot be exonerated from the charge of rape unless the woman decides to drop the charge against him. “If she drops the charge, then the man can escape and if not, when the case is proved, the man will be liable.”

2 Hausa Boys Arrested In kano For Gang Raping An NYSC Member

Two miscreants, Abba Garba 18, Abubakar Suleiman, 17, Monday, shocked Kano residents as they confessed to have gang-raped a National Youths Service Corps, NYSC, member serving with Durumi Secondary School, Kurna in Kano municipality.

The police said it has arrested Abba Garba and Abubakar Suleiman while the other two, Nazeephy Malam and Ali Wara are said to be at large. Garba, the lead suspect told Vanguard that the incident occurred penultimate week in one of the classrooms in the college by 12 noon when the victim, who was not aware of the strike action in the state, resumed for classes.

He revealed that he and his cohorts were forced into the school building on the fateful day by the torrential downpour when suddenly a lady that appeared to be in her late 20’s approached them, speaking a language they could not understand.

Garba the suspect  told  news men that in he was moved by the beauty of the ‘stranger’ and immediately drew out a sharp knife and compelled her to undress before he and his friends raped her in turns. He said: “I took shelter in the premises of the college with my friends when it started raining on that fateful day.

 While we were having fun, a lady suddenly approached us and was speaking a language none of us understood. “I was moved by her beauty and immediately drew out a sharp knife. We took her into one of the class rooms, forced her to undress and raped her in turn before policemen on patrol apprehended two of us. The other two escaped.”
