Wife escaped being used for money ritual by husband

A housewife, Caroline Omoseebi, testified before an  Alakuko Customary Court that her husband, Ayemisan, wanted to use her for money ritual. According to her, the husband took her pants to a herbalist in pursuit of the money ritual and also joined a secret cult. Caroline said they got married 44 years ago, and have seven grown up children. She said they lived in harmony until some years ago when their relationship went  sour.

“He said he wanted to be rich at all costs. That is the reason he joined a secret cult. He actually took my pants to a herbalist in his attempt to get rich quick”, the petitioner told the court. In his defence, the husband said there was  no trouble between him and the wife until she joined a club of bad friends and became uncontrollable. The respondent said  he was not ready for divorce and pledged to change his character. The court president, Mr. Godwin Awosola, said the court could not force Ayemisan on the wife and, while adjourning the case, warned the couple to maintain peace.

Maybe you need to start believing these stories because there are weird and wicked people around us who will stoop so low to do anything for money and fame. This is a true life story of Ethel, please don't take it for granted.

On October 9,2013 A friend of mine MOSES IDAHOSA reached me and invited me to come to Benin city for an event, i have known him since 2011 so I thought nothing of it,like no harm can be done after all we go way back and stuff,so I booked my ticket from Lagos and I flew to Benin on the 13th October a Sunday for the event.

After the event we went to chill at a place called Alice hotel in GRA Benin,he had a Suite there and we were with other friends.we all talked, laughed, gisted and all until about 10pm when everyone started leaving gradually,i wanted to call my cab to take me to my own hotel but moses kept on insisting on dropping me and I was like even better would save me paying for cab,so I had to wait for everybody to leave before he could drop me because he said he couldn't leave his guests to drop me,so when everyone finally left,i was about to stand up but he was adamant on me still waiting but i finally insisted i needed to go because i was leaving for Lagos early the next morning and couldn't wait anymore,i had to work the next morning. 

When i got up to go,he pulled me and slapped me and asked me to sit,i thought it was a joke at first cos I just couldn't believe it,i brought out my phone to try and call for a taxi,by then i was in shock and angry but he forcefully seized my phone saying i wasn't going anywhere . 

He overpowered me and he tied me up in his hotel,stuffed my mouth so I couldn't scream,and he raped me several times …again and again and again.  

He said his baba said I was the perfect candidate for his rituals and for his upcoming election to take place properly next year so he would win.i was in shock and in denial,i couldn't even believe it,i have heard stories never thought i would experience it first hand in this cruel way from someone i knew. 

Every day for two hours i was raped over and over again by this man ,i was still bound and gagged.he beat me up and did all kinds of things to me,i was helpless and cried bitter tears to no avail  because no one could hear me. 

On Tuesday evening he came back and rubbed something on his manhood and said that was what his baba gave him to use to have sex with me,that i would loose my womb and good fortune …I begged and cried but he refused . 

At midnight when he tried to use what the baba gave him,his manhood refused to come up,he tried over and over again but his manhood didn't function,it just didn't get up again and he hit me in anger many times over but still nothing happened.  He then hurriedly left in annoyance to meet with his baba and in his rush he forgot to lock the door to the suite ,he didn't use the keys but i didn't know this,i was still gagged and bound waiting for him to come back in fear and by 9am on the 16th October morning he wasn't back and the housekeeping came and kept knocking and when no one answered,they went downstairs to get the spare key to open the door but found out the door wasn't even locked.normally since the time he kept me there he was always there when the housekeeping came and told them he didn't want to be disturbed.  

They came in and found me bound and gagged and helped me out.the names moses used in filling out the forms were fake names and i am presently in Benin city on admission in hospital.I also suffered injuries untold. MOSES IDAHOSA is still at large but the police are on a man hunt for him.his wife and children are in Police custody as you read this.  

My names are Ethel Joan Nwadike and i am not ashamed to come out and say i was raped.Please i am using this medium to reach out to the public,anyone that knows anything or sees him should please contact me or the nearest police station at once,he is a dangerous man and his next victim might not be as lucky as i was.  

I am sure after raping me he would have probably killed me and dumped my body somewhere and no one would have known how i died….a FRIEND I TRUSTED! 

He calls himself Honourable Moses Idahosa and works with the internal revenue service in Benin city, he is still at large and with your help the police can find him..  

I thank God for my life and ask you to join me in thanksgiving..This is someone i knew and trusted.it could happen to anyone out there.ladies please be careful who you trust.

How girl, 13, miraculously escaped from ritualists, 10 others used for rituals

When Emmanuela, 13, a JSS student of Shadoff Secondary school, Igbogbo, set out on that fateful day for her usual Thursdays fellowship and faith clinic service at a church, little did she know that it was going to be the most horrifying experience of her life as a teenager.

But by divine intervention, Emmanuela returned to tell the grueling story of her kidnapp and how she was slated for rituals before God set her free. But other ten passengers could not live to tell their stories.

According to her, “I entered the bus  from Igbogbo around 7pm. I was going to my church for our Thursday vigil.  When I entered the bus, I noticed that all the passengers in the bus were sleeping. They were about ten. I felt something was wrong and I quickly told  the driver to stop for me that I  had forgotten my transport fare at home.

The conductor then said that I should not worry that he would not collect money from me.  I insisted I would get down, shouting that I was going to church and I would not be able to come back home even if he did not collect money from me.  But he refused. As we were arguing on that, the conductor immediately brought out a handkerchief and waved it on my face and that was the last thing I remembered.

“I then saw myself at a shrine with other victims. The  following day at the shrine, they began to kill others with knife and machete one after the other. Although we were blindfolded, yet, I was able to see a bit of what was going on.   They decided Sunday would be my turn when they would conclude their  rituals.”

“We were there without food or water, and when it got to my turn on Sunday, I was taken to the shrine again along with  the remaining two. But I heard one of them saying ‘no, they should return me back to where they picked me. We were three left  out of about eleven people.”

But instead of returning me back to where they picked me , they kept me somewhere.  The following day which was Monday, they took the three of us back to the  shrine.  The other two were killed that day, leaving only me. One of them again told the  men that they should look for another person to replace me and that they should return me immediately.  But they refused saying that they cannot return me and that they should manage and use me like that.

After the argument, I was laid at the shrine, at that point, with the little consciousness I had, I was praying, I was weak and could not even move  my body.  I realised that the killer could not bring his knife on me. The next thing I heard was that ‘take this girl away’.  Again, that was what I saw until I found myself at the Ita Elewa, Ikorodu late at night.”

Emmanuela said: “It was dark, I didn’t know how I got there; I just suddenly discovered I was out of  their hands, but I was very weak. There, I saw a man in a suit walking on the street. I approached him and asked him where I was? He told me Ita-Elewa; I begged him to take me to my church because it was very close to the area they dropped me.  He obliged me.  When I entered the church, I fell and lay by the gate.

“As a member of the drama group, we usually hold drama rehearsals every Tuesdays. So, it was co-incidental that the members of the group  were  there at that time.  Somebody who was sent by our leader to check the gate saw me and took me inside, prayed for me and gave me food to eat. Throughout my stay there, I was never hungry, until I came out.”

Asked to describe the area where the ritual took place, Emmanuela said what she saw were materials and accessories used by ritualists, such as charms, knives, machetes among others.

She explained that it was an isolated area, adding “there is no living house in the area. I really don’t know the place, but what I saw there were things used by ritualists. I can’t really say whether it was in Ikododu or its outskirts and I can’t determine the time we spent on the road because I didn’t even know how I got there.”

Ritualists behead 16-yr-old hawker in Anambra

A 16 year-old Miss Nwanneka Odah was, yesterday, beheaded by a three -man gang suspected to be ritual k*llers at Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.

 Nwanneka was said to be hawking groundnuts along the Nawfia –Awka road close to Nawfia Comprehensive Secondary School when the three young men allegedly pretended as if they wanted to buy groundnuts from her only for one of them to use a machete to cut off her head when she bent down to sell the groundnuts to them.....Continue A relation of the deceased, Mr. Friday Ogalagu described the situation as terrible, lamenting that he had never seen such a thing in his life. 

 He said: “I was not there when it happened, but I was told that my cousin was stopped by three men who said they wanted to buy groundnuts. While two of them were on the road side, the third, who dressed like a mad man was standing closely. When the girl bent down to put the ground nuts for them, the one close by brought out what somebody said looked like an axe and beheaded the girl.

 An Okada rider plying the road who saw what happened stopped and the three men ran into the bush, leaving their victim whose head was already severed, struggling for life.” Ogalagu said that it was when people began to make inquiries about the parents of the girl that he was contacted. 

 According to Ogalagu who claimed to be training the girl since childhood, the body had been deposited at the Amaku General Hospital in Awka, while the parents who live in Ebonyi had been contacted. Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Raphael Uzoigwe, confirmed the incident, saying the matter had been referred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, CID, for investigation.

Islamic Clerics Arrested Over Alleged Money rituals

The Special Fraud Unit of the Nigeria Police has arrested two Islamic clerics, Fatai Bamidele and Lateef Ahmed, for allegedly obtaining N30m from Lawal Sulaiman, a Lagos-based businessman, under false pretence. Police authorities said the suspects obtained the money from Sulaiman with a promise to perform ritual to make him wealthy and invincible. 

 Sulaiman said he was hypnotised and held in captivity for three months by Ahmed in Kwara State. He denied approaching the clerics for money ritual, saying he only sought protection from evil forces. He said, “I supply fireworks and Bamidele’s shop is very close to mine. I’ve known him for years and I trusted him to the extent that I discuss my personal problems with him.

 “One day, he told me that he had a bad dream about me and that I would need special prayers. He said I would need to buy a ram and 40 Qurans for 40 Imams who would pray over the matter. I paid N125, 000 into his bank account to facilitate it. “After the prayers, he said a superior Imam in Kwara State needed me to come down to Ilorin to eat the heart of the ram. Initially, I was reluctant but he told me it was a matter of life and death.

 So, I went.” The 31-year-old victim said when he arrived Ilorin, he met Ahmed who gave him the heart of the ram to eat. He said after eating it, Ahmed showed him some charms and objects and told him to keep what transpired between them secret. Sulaiman said, “After I ate the ram’s heart, Ahmed showed me the charms and other objects. I lost my senses “I came back to Lagos and on several occasions, I gave them different sums of money. Sometimes, I would pay cash, some other times, I would pay into their accounts.” Sulaiman said when he became broke, he complained to Bamidele about his finances but he advised him to return to Ilorin and talk to Ahmed. 

 He said the major chunk of the money he gave to the suspects were deposits made by his customers Sulaiman said, “On getting to Ahmed’s place, I remained there for three months. He kept on controlling me and I wasn’t myself. Sometimes, he would put my phone on private number and tell me to call my relatives and tell them not to look for me as I was abroad. “He continued to extort money from me until one day when he told me to go back to Lagos to bring more money. 

When I returned to Lagos, I became myself. I called the two suspects, recorded our conversations and then reported to the police.” The suspects however said they collected N10m from Sulaiman and not N30m. Ahmed, 45, said, “Sulaiman told me he wanted to be rich and wanted his creditors to forget his debts. “I informed him that there are two types of money rituals. There’s the one that a ghost will bring money at once and there’s another one that he will be getting the money daily. Sulaiman said he wanted the latter and gave me N10m as a gift. “I did not abduct him. He was hiding because he said he owed people.

 The ritual takes a year to perform and it would have ended in October if not for my arrest.” Bamidele, who accused Sulaiman of greed, said his share of the money was N2.5m. “After I did the first set of prayers for him, he said he wanted to become very rich. That was when I referred him to Ahmed. Nobody defrauded him. It was all a gift,” he said. The Commissioner of Police for the command, Mr. Ayotunde Ogunsakin, who confirmed the incident, said the suspects used the money to buy expensive cars and renovate Ahmed’s building in Ilorin. 

 He said, “During investigations, it was discovered that out of the N10m, Ahmed gave Bamidele N2.5m while he kept N7.5m. “Bamidele bought a Nissan Infinity Sports Utility at N1m, while his accomplice bought a Ford SUV at N1.4m and used the remainder to renovate his house. They will soon be charged to court.” Ogunsakin added that one of Sulaiman’s creditors had written a petition to the SFU. “The petitioner alleged that Sulaiman collected goods worth N13.2m but had not paid him since October 11, 2011,” he said.

Student escapes after four days in ritual killers’ den

A student of Business Administration, Kwara State University, Malete, Mr. Rilwan Adeleye, escaped death by a whisker after four days in suspected ritual killers’captivity. Narrating his miraculous escape to our correspondent in Ilorin, Adeleye said on March 29, he boarded a taxi cab at Challenge Junction, Ilorin, Kwara State, en route to Taiwo Road, Ilorin. He said, “I wanted to go and withdraw some money my father had sent to me.

I stopped a taxi cab, which had two other passengers, and told the driver that I wanted to go to somewhere around Taiwo. “On our way, the driver took a wrong route. So, I challenged the man and asked him why he wanted to pass through that way. The man said he wanted to avoid the traffic hold-up. That was all I could remember.” Adeleye said he later became unconscious, only to find himself in an uncompleted building. 

He added that his captors took him to a room in the building and drew his blood with a syringe. He said, “Later, when I started recovering, I could faintly remember that they took me to an uncompleted building. Then I found myself in a room. I was the only person inside. 

“I noticed that someone came in and drew blood from my body with a syringe.” According to him, some of his captors came later and beat him mercilessly to the extent that he sustained a fracture in his arm. 21-year-old Adeleye said it was apparent by the anger of the ritual killers that his blood was not accepted for ritual purpose. 

After much beating, he said his captors took him to a roadside and dumped him there but his friends saw him and took him home. He stated that the whole incident lasted for four days; from March 29 to April 1. He advised people to avoid “get rich quick” mentality and stop killing and maiming innocent people for rituals. Adeleye’s uncle, Mr. Aranse Oluwa, corroborated the survivor’s narration. 

He stated that the family members were rattled when they did not see Adeleye, who had told them he was going to withdraw some money from bank. Oluwa said it was a relief to the family when Adeleye spoke with a family member on the phone after his release. He said they had been frantically searching for him when he did not get back home on time.  

Oluwa said, “He told us three people abducted him; two in front seat of the taxi and one other person, who sat with the victim at the back seat. “His friends saw him along the road unconscious. They had to buy cold water and poured it on him to revive him before they later took him to a hospital.” Punch Nigeria

The barbaric tradition of ritual baby tossing: Priests hurl children 30ft from temple balcony for 'good luck' (PHOTOS AND VIDEO)

Terrified toddlers scream and sob as they're shaken by men in robes and tossed from a balcony 30ft above the ground. It's not the plot of horror film - but an ages-old annual ritual carried in southern India, meant to bring participating infants good luck, health and prosperity. 

Hard-to-watch footage of the ceremony, held each year in the state of Karnataka, has horrified children's rights groups, who have labeled it 'barbaric' and want it banned by the Indian government. The practice is believed to date back centuries and takes place across India - involving both Hindus and Muslims. 

Video of a ceremony in 2009 shows robed priests shaking frightened babies, before dropping them to the ground below, where locals are waiting with a blanket to catch the traumatised tots. When the children land safely, the crowd celebrates wildly, passing each infant around before returning them to their mothers. 

Local campaigners managed to get the practice banned in 2011, but it returned to Digambeshwara temple in Nagrala village last week - much to the frustration of Lov Verma, from the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights. Mr Verma said: 'I'm absolutely shocked by this. 

It's not simply the government's job. We need to educate all those who take part in this barbaric practice - the temple priests and the community.' But participants argue it's their religious duty to attend the ceremonies. One temple-goer told the Sunday Times: 'Our religious beliefs pull many of us to this ceremony every year.'
