A Nigerian woman has died in Oakland, California at the hands of a Korean-American gunman who went berserk on Monday, April 2.
The gunman opened fire at his former college in Oakland, killing seven people and injuring three others.
Six women and one man died in the shooting.
The Oakland police confirmed on Tuesday that the victims were within the age-range of 21-40 and hailed from Nigeria, Korea, Nepal and the Philippines.
Reports from the Oakland tribune had the Oakland Chief of Police, Howard Jordan say that the gunman started shooting in a classroom at Oikos University in East Oakland.
The suspect, 43-year-old One L. Goh, was a former student of the University who claimed he held a grudge because he was often teased about his poor English speaking skills.
Goh surrendered and was arrested an hour after the shooting spree at a supermarket in Alameda city. He was said to have appeared “unremorseful” at the time of his arrest.
