Justice Aloma Mukhtar, who hails from Kano State, is the first female Justice of the Supreme Court. She was born in 1944 and was called to the Nigerian Bar on June 26, 1967.

has been a Justice of the Supreme Court (JSC) since 2005. You may wish to know that Justice Aloma Mukhtar recently rejected her nomination as the Chief Judge of The Gambia, perhaps in anticipation of her being made Nigeria’s first female CJN.
