President of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Joseph Daudu has said that the association has been hijacked by politicians. The NBA president, who spoke during the association’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Lokoja, Kogi State, lamented over the level of politicking in the association.
He said the legal profession has been infiltrated and hijacked by people who know nothing about the profession. “A lot of our members see the NBA as a platform for sharpening their political skills that will serve them in the larger society. They are assisted in this venture by the growing acrimonious and indeed cost-inefficient manner in which we elect our officers in the state branches and national body.
