| Lovers found dead in car |
Tragedy struck at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Kano when the decomposing remains of a man and a woman believed to be lovers were found in a car at the premises of the hospital on Monday evening.
Sources told Daily Trust that the discovery followed complaints by patients about a mysterious putrid odour that was seeping into their wards.
“The hospital workers who volunteered to trace the source of the smell discovered it was oozing from an ash coloured saloon car whose lifeless occupants were found almost decaying.
The swollen d*ad bodies were found around 7pm shortly after the Muslim’s sunset prayers”, a source said.
It was learnt that the d*ad bodies which were evacuated from the vehicle and deposited at the hospital’s morgue by hospital workers did not bear any signs of injuries or violence on them.
The deputy spokesman of the Kano Police Command ASP Magaji Musa Majiya who confirmed the incident said that samples for postmortem tests were taken from the corpses before they were released to their families for burial.
