Mr Peter Job Peters, National Secretary of Friends of Dr Goodluck Jonathan, a political pressure group, has called on NLC and TUC to call off its nationwide strike and enter into dialogue with the Federal Government.

Peters made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Abuja.

The NLC and the TUC had on Jan. 9, embarked on an indefinite nationwide strike to protest Federal Government’s decision to remove fuel subsidy.

He said the nation was already losing much revenue as a result of the strike.

Peters said that Nigerians should keep faith with Federal Government’s transformation agenda, which, he added, would ensure the country`s development if properly implemented.

He advised Nigerians to accept government`s decision to remove fuel subsidy as “the price they have to pay to ensure that future generations do not become beggars.”
