The 30 minutes heavy rain down pour which yesterday afternoon created havoc at the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), Lagos with the rain blowing off the roof of the VIP building belonging to the Nigeria Air Force (NAF).
Equally, the rain which came with heavy wind blew off the roof of the Arik Air hangar and pulled down part of its fence.
The heavy rain which started while the aircraft that brought the visiting President of the Central Africa Republic (CAR), Mr François Bozizé landed at the presidential wing of the local airport kept him in the presidential jet for close to ten minutes until the rain subsided.
The president, who arrived the Presidential Lounge could not enter the lounge even while attempt by the security men who had brought in cars to pick the president had to wait.
When the rain subsided the CAR president went in to the longe to rest for some minutes, another heavy rain again began but with heavier wind which blew off the roof of VIP belonging to NAF.
The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Adejoke Adefulure who had come to receive the CAR president was not spared as she rushed into the lounge for cover.
