The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Kano command, has intercepted a luxury bus in Kano coming from the southern part of the country with smuggled diesel loaded in jerry cans.
State Commandant, A S Saddabs, told newsmen in Kano at a press briefing yesterday that the diesel was loaded as palm oil and loaded in the bus. He said another truck was also arrested loaded with drums full of diesel.
The defense corps, according to him, has about seven cases pending in court over the arrest; saying among the suspect was a woman. The smuggled diesel, he said, was adulterated and sold to buyers at a cheaper price.
