ICC keeps Nigeria in suspense

The visiting Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Fatou Bensouda, yesterday said the team would only disclose its investigation outcome after a careful analysis of its findings.

Bensouda said this yesterday when she led the ICC delegation to Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice Mohammed Bello Adoke (SAN) to his office in Abuja. She said that the ICC will fine tune, analyze and put together information gathered during their stay in Nigeria before reaching conclusion.

“As we have discussed over the past few days and we all know that ICC has been set up by states to prevent crime and to fight impunity, we see our role in Nigeria to be able to help you to reach this objective. Specifically, I want to mention the Boko Haram activities which appear to be serious security threat to Nigeria,” Fatou Bensouda said.
