A team of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) yesterday arrested one Okwudiri Agwudosi, 22, for r*ping a 14-year-old girl in a super market in Umuahia, Abia State.
Newsmen gathered that the victim was lured by her suspect into the store and sexually assaulted. It was further gathered that it was a passerby who reported the matter to men of NSCDC.
Following that development, Okwudiri was arrested while the r*pe victim was taken to hospital for medical examination.
Speaking to newsmen on the matter, the NSCDC Commandant in the state, Nathaniel Ubong, frowned at the level of moral decadence in the society.
Ubong vowed to ensure law and order in the state, adding that the NSCDC would not relent in its mandate of curtailing human rights violation.
