History repeated itself again as the Super Eagles of Nigeria were eliminated from the world cup at the second round of games. They were beaten by France 2-0 after what started like a good game. The Super Eagles failed to create more goal scoring chances but were good on holding the ball.
At the end of the day, France had better crosses from the wings which resulted in their 2 goals while the super Eagles wasted all their crosses from corner kicks and free kicks. France creative midfielder Pogba scored the first goal while an own goal from Joseph Yobo made sure the french team were on their way to the quarter final.
This defeat leaves Africa nations only Algeria in the tournament who faces the German team later in the day.Hope we can build on this loss and hope to discover more prolific strikers and midfielders.
