Germany reached the World Cup final by annihilating their host Brazil 7-1 in the first semi-final clash of the world.

Brazil missing their injured talisman Neymar and captain Thiago Silva, were completely torn apart by a ruthless German side at Estadio Mineirao.

The was all but over after Joachim Low's side scored four goals in the space of six first-half minutes and led 5-0 after only 29 minutes, then struck twice in the second half to set up a final against either Netherlands or Argentina at the Maracana on Sunday.

The veteran striker broke Ronaldo's record for finals goals as Thomas Muller, Sami Khedira, Toni Kroos(2) and Andre Schurrle(2) combined to do the damage.

Brazil's only goal came in the 90th minute through Chelsea's midfielder, Oscar.

The Germans, will now play the winner in the other semi-final clash between Argentina and Holland in the final.
