We where all waiting to see if the Ooni of Ife Alayeluwa Oba Okunade Sijuwade will attend his son Adegbite's traditional wedding yesterday following reports from the palace that he was still alive contrary to media reports.
Sadly, he couldn’t make it to the traditional wedding physically but his staff of office was seen everywhere with the groom as the wedding rites progressed. Also representing the Sijuwade family were Adegbite’s paternal and maternal relatives. City People gathered that Prince Adetokunbo Sijuwade, the first son of Ooni of Ife, who recently turned 50 was also present.
