A housekeeper, Vivian Simeon-Michael, 20, was yesterday sentenced to two months imprisonment by an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for stealing.
Vivian was convicted for stealing her employer’s underwear and other items, valued at N295, 000.
The presiding magistrate sentenced her after the lady pleaded guilty to the one-count charge brought against her by the police.
She, however, did not give the convict an option of fine stressing that she is a first offender who must see that crime does not pay.
