David Bowie Dies At 69 After Battle With Cancer

The legendary English rock singer, David Bowie,who was a popular figure in music for over four decade  has passed away after an 18 month battle with cancer.The singer who was know as an inventor particularly for his work in the 1970 died peacefully in his sleep.His spokeperson  made the announcement through his facebook page

"David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family's privacy during their time of grief."

 Bowie is survived by two children, as well as his wife Supermodel Iman, whom he had been married to since April 24, 1992. Follow @todaysgist
