Lucky Woman wins Brand New BMW After Aprils Fool Day prank

Not everything is a prank even on April Fools' day. A newspaper published an "April Fools' Day Special" where they said, on the front page of the paper, that the first person who brought the front page and their old car to the BMW dealership, would win a car in exchange for their existing one.

Hardly anyone "fell for" this prank - it looked obviously fake.

However, when Tianna Marsh saw it, she thought it may be a double bluff.

She drove her 15-year-old Nissan Avenir to the BMW dealership and bravely brandished the front page of the New Zealand Herald.
She was rewarded with a new BMW 1 Series, worth $50,000 NZ (£25,000) in exchange for her old car.

The firm actually hired security guards in case there were massive crowds and riots.

This wasn't needed however, as most people who saw the advertisement didn't believe it.

The dealership commented that there were "no tears shed" for the old station wagon, and Ms Marsh proudly claimed the new car.

We aren't particularly surprised by that revelation.
