Exposed! Osama Bin Laden Fighters Set To Attack Nigeria,Ghana and other African Countries

As Nigeria struggles to curb the violent activities of the dreaded Islamic fundamentalist sect, Boko Haram, international intelligence agencies have uncovered plans by al-Qaeda, to launch fresh attacks on Nigeria, Ghana and two other African countries. Authoritative investigations showed that the targeted countries are those receiving help from Western nations on how to prevent terrorists onslaught.

Al-Qaeda, which was founded by the late Osama bin Laden, has launched attacks all over the world. Newsmen gathered that Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Frank Mba, confirmed the al-Qaeda plot to a national daily.

Mba, however, noted that such threats were received in the past, and added that security agencies were determined to ensure the group’s plan did not succeed. According to him, the police are receiving immense support from developed countries that have counter- terrorism expertise. Al-Qaeda‘s foot prints abound in Nigerian as it has cells in the northern part of the country and had also claimed responsibility for some terrorist activities.

It would be recalled that in April 2012, the State Security Service arrested Mohammed Ashafa said to be al-Qaeda linkman with a terror group in Nigeria. Ashafa was reportedly apprehended by the Pakistani government through the National Intelligence Agency and handed over to the Federal Government for prosecution.

When he was arraigned at the Federal High Court, the SSS told the court that the accused person facilitated terrorist exchange programmes between al-Qaeda and its allies in Nigeria. The intelligence agency further said its investigations showed that Ashafa was allegedly the second in command to one Adnan Ibrahim, who was said to be the Resident al-Qaeda chief in West Africa, but based in Kano.

TROUBLE:Yemen air raids 'target al-Qaeda militants near Bayda'

Al-Qaeda targets were struck close to the city of Bayda, some 130km (80 miles) south of the capital Sanaa late on Friday, officials said.

Police and security sources told the AFP the strikes had killed 23.

Officials said the attacks were carried out by Yemeni planes, although some residents thought they were US planes.

However, the BBC's Jon Leyne, reporting from Cairo, says until now the United States has mainly used drones to target members of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), which has bases in southern Yemen.

Residents in Bayda told Reuters news agency that Friday night's raid targeted bases belonging to AQAP-linked Ansar al-Sharia militants.

A government source told Reuters the warplanes targeted a gathering of "al-Qaeda elements", killing 10 militants, including leaders, and their vehicles.

He said the militants were carrying equipment and weapons in order to launch attacks in Bayda province, Reuters reports.

Militants believed to be linked to al-Qaeda have exploited a security vacuum in the region after months of protests demanding the resignation of long-time president Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Friday's strike comes weeks after Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi was sworn in as president, and suggests a new determination against the fight against al-Qaeda in Yemen, our correspondent says.

Such a drive would most likely be in collaboration with the US, which has recently talked about restarting a major programme of assistance, our correspondent says.

Al Qeada Collaborates With Boko Haram To Produce Deadly Vaccine

THE Al-Qaeda in Arabian Peninsula in collaboration with the dreaded Islamic militant group, Boko Haram are said to have invented a deadly vaccine,

which is to be deployed in attacks on high targets, sources in government said at the weekend.

It was learnt that part of the latest discoveries of some security agencies is the claim that the Al-Qaeda in Arabia Peninsular had collaborated with Boko Haram to develop a special vaccine, said to be twice as deadly as cobra venom, and is meant to be deployed by suicide attackers on some high target operations.

Sources further confirmed that the vaccines are due to be first launched in West Africa and that the dreaded Nigerian based group, Boko Haram is the source of deployment.

Said a source in the know: “It has been discovered that the Al-Qaeda and Boko Haram have collaborated to develop a special vaccine, its name is not quite clear at this stage but it was confirmed that the vaccine is made from seed and it is reputed to be twice as deadly as cobra venom. Information about the deadly vaccine is being shared at top levels of intelligence all over the world.”

Sources further stated that the plan of the terror groups behind the discovery of the vaccine is to ensure key targets are not missed once they are pinpointed and that the security cordon around them are thwarted.

According to one of the sources, the groups plan to brief some suicide attackers who would be made to gain considerable access to a VIP and then deploy the deadly venom.

A syringe-like device has also been developed to shoot the vaccine towards the target in a well-funded suicide mission, a source said adding however that some top agencies have got wind of the new plan.
