Chelsea Finally Seals Fabregas Deal

When money talks, players are signed easily. According to fresh reports coming from Stamford Bridge, Chelsea have signed  a 5-year deal with Cesc Fabregas for £30M. Also, according to reports from the Barcelona website:

"FC Barcelona and Chelsea FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Cesc Fabregas to the English club," Barca said in a statement on their website (www.fcbarcelona.es)."FC Barcelona wishes to publicly thank Cesc Fabregas for his professionalism and dedication during his years at the club, which will always be his home, and to wish him all the very best for the future," they added.Chelsea confirmed the 27-year-old had signed a five-year deal.

Mourinho eyes £30m bid for Fabregas after Lampard’s exit

This is football and in football, anything is possible. New reports in the British press, suggest that Jose Mourinho is set to lure Cesc Fabregas to Chelsea this summer.

The Blues boss is eager to replace the goals and attacking thrust of Frank Lampard, who confirmed this week that he will be leaving Stamford Bridge after 13 glorious years.

Lampard, who is close to sealing a move to new MLS franchise, New York City, scored 211 goals for Chelsea since he moved from West Ham in 2001 and Mourinho feels there is no one at the club presently, who can step into his shoes.

Arsene Wenger has reportedly snubbed the chance to re-sign his former protege, leaving Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool in the race to sign the Spanish playmaker, who would cost around £30m.
