Mikel Obi haters who think the Chelsea defensive midfielder was on his way out of Stamford has been shocked by Jose Mourinho plans to keep the player despite the strengthening of the midfield of the squad.It seems Chelsea Manager, Jose Mourinho has decided to keep Eagles number 10, Mikel Obi despite earlier reports that the Nigerian was for sale..

In a recent meeting with Chelsea’s official website, the Portugesse tactician revealed that Mikel will be at stamford Bridge and is will be part of his team for the 2014/2015 English Premier League.

Mourinho said that Mikel’s worth to the Blues is highly underestimated in Chelsea.

He said: 

‘You play 60 matches a season and you cannot play with the same players every time,’ . ‘In the first three weeks you have one match per week but after that the cups start, the Champions League, internationals, so you have to rotate players.
‘Everybody will have a chance, nobody will feel as though they are first choice or second choice. For example, in midfield we have Mikel, Matic, Ramires, Fabregas and Van Ginkel, so everybody will play and will feel useful, important,” he noted.

Mikel was brought to Chelsea by Jose Mourinho during his first fling with the Roman Abrahmovic owned Club.

Wow!!! Chelsea make £16million transfer offer for Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike

Chelsea are hoping to secure a deal for Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike, according to Metro.

The 27-year-old has impressed for Nigeria in Brazil this summer, helping them reach the knockout stages, and has impressed Blues boss Jose Mourinho in the process, sparking him to table a £16m offer for the striker.

The striker joined the Turkish side last summer in a £10million deal from Spartak Moscow and has admitted he has always dreamed of playing in the Premier League.

He said: “I have always dreamed of playing in England.

“If I get the opportunity to play in England – I wouldn’t turn it down.”

And Fenerbahce are reportedly ready to accept a quick profit on the striker as Mourinho hopes to complete a deal within the next week to 10 days.

Mourinho has been a long-term admirer of the striker, who netted 12 goals and assisted nine in the Turkish Premier League last season, and sees him as an ideal player to bolster his strike options at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea Finally Seals Fabregas Deal

When money talks, players are signed easily. According to fresh reports coming from Stamford Bridge, Chelsea have signed  a 5-year deal with Cesc Fabregas for £30M. Also, according to reports from the Barcelona website:

Mourinho eyes £30m bid for Fabregas after Lampard’s exit

This is football and in football, anything is possible. New reports in the British press, suggest that Jose Mourinho is set to lure Cesc Fabregas to Chelsea this summer.

The Blues boss is eager to replace the goals and attacking thrust of Frank Lampard, who confirmed this week that he will be leaving Stamford Bridge after 13 glorious years.

Lampard, who is close to sealing a move to new MLS franchise, New York City, scored 211 goals for Chelsea since he moved from West Ham in 2001 and Mourinho feels there is no one at the club presently, who can step into his shoes.

Arsene Wenger has reportedly snubbed the chance to re-sign his former protege, leaving Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool in the race to sign the Spanish playmaker, who would cost around £30m.

English legend and midfield general Frank Lampard has announced that he will leave the blues after his contract runs out this summer.The Chelsea record holder is rumoured to have agreed terms with New York based club, New York Red Bulls. He will join French Superstar Thiery Henry and Spanish player David Villa in New York.

The Belgium and Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku said he felt no joy at his club's Champions League and FA Cup triumphs and would rather be loaned out than repeat a season warming the bench. The 19-year-old, who moved to Chelsea from Anderlecht a year ago, started only four times last season and came on as a substitute on eight occasions.

 Lukaku told De Standaard newspaper that he would often leave a match after 70 minutes if he was watching from the stands and said he felt no sense of achievement when Chelsea won the FA Cup, in which he played only a few minutes in the third round. "When [Salomon] Kalou put the cup on my lap in the bus I asked him to take it away immediately. 

I didn't want to touch it because just as with the Champions League I had no part in it at all," he told the newspaper on Thursday. "I don't like people talking to me about the Champions League. It wasn't me, but my team that won the trophy." Lukaku said he had improved in training, was eating far fewer hamburgers and, despite good performances in the matches he had started, had failed to win a regular place in the team.

 "Chelsea really wanted me last summer and paid a lot for me but after a while I thought are you just throwing money around?" he said. Lukaku said he would seek talks with Chelsea's manager, whether that was the incumbent Roberto Di Matteo or a successor. "During the conversation with the manager I will see whether he's serious about me or not. If not, I will go away on loan. I have to play," Lukaku said.

 His fellow Belgian, the goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, joined Chelsea from Racing Genk a year ago, but was immediately loaned out to the Spanish side Atlético Madrid and was part of their Europa League-winning team.
