Kim Kardashian Involved in Car Crash ( PHOTO)
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian was involved in a minor car crash some hours ago. According to TMZ, Kim's Mercedes G Wagon collided with another vehicle near the Beverly Hills Hotel. Neither of the drivers was hurt.
TMZ says Kardashian and the other driver exchanged information and then hugged goodbye.

TRAGIC:Reclkess Driver Crushes 3-year-old Girl To De*th While Playing In Her Compound
When three-year-old Ikeoluwa Olaniyi was playing with her friends in her grandfather’s compound in Ire Akari Estate, Isolo, Lagos, on September 3, 2013, little did she know that death was lurking.
PUNCH Metro learnt that a teenage motorist, Chinyere Wagbaranta, in company with her brother, Chisom, and a police corporal attached to Police Mobile Force 22, Felix Adebayo, in a Mercedes Benz Sports Utility Vehicle, drove into the compound carelessly, hitting the little girl and crushing her skull.
The victim’s grandfather, Adesola Elegbede, who spoke to our correspondent while fighting back tears, said Ikeoluwa was his first grandchild.
He said, “Ikeoluwa lives with me and my wife. Her father works in a bank and her mother works with an accounting firm, which are both located on Victoria Island. Ikeoluwa attends a school in Ilasa, which is not far from our house. She stays with her parents during the weekend.
“On the day of the incident, I came in and saw her eating yam just outside the main door and told her to go inside. A few minutes later, I wanted to go to my friend who lives a few houses away from mine and Ikeoluwa attempted to follow me but she met some of her friends playing in the compound so she joined them.
“A few minutes later, I heard a loud scream that Ikeoluwa had been crushed by a vehicle in the compound. I ran to the scene and observed that the side of her head had been crushed. I saw the vehicle that hit her but the occupants had fled. I carried my granddaughter to Good Health Hospital, where she was declared dead.”
Elegbede said he immediately ran to the Isolo Police Division to report the matter and it was there that he met the culprits.
He said Chinyere drove recklessly into the compound because she was on a mission to fight one of his neighbours.
He said, “I was told that Chinyere and her brother hired the Police Mobile Force member, who is attached to a bank in the area, to escort them to our compound to fight one of my neighbour’s children.
“They drove recklessly from Ire Akari Road into my compound and after crushing my little girl, the armed MOPOL aided them in escaping from the scene.”
The grandfather said four days after the incident, Chinyere’s parents, in company with the Divisional Police Officer, Isolo, Adamu Ibrahim, and a chief in the area came to apologise over the incident, urging him not to pursue the case.
Elegbede, however, berated the police for not handling the case professionally.
He said, “When they came to visit me four days later, I was shocked that the DPO escorted them to my place. Why should the DPO be pleading on their behalf, telling me it was the will of God? Anyway, I told them to go and beg Ikeoluwa’s parents because I am not her father.
“On September 9, the DPO called me again saying the Area D Commander at Mushin wanted to see all the parties involved but on getting there, the DPO told us to return to his own station.
“When I noticed that the case was not being handled properly, I asked the DPO to transfer the matter to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, but he refused to do this.
“I am aware that Chinyere is 18 years old and is an adult. I have already started hearing that the police want to manipulate her age, get her a fake affidavit and give her a soft-landing. I will not accept this.”
The victim’s grandfather said life had not been the same since the incident occurred.
While pointing to the spot where his granddaughter’s blood was shed, he said, “I cannot believe this. We are still in shock. Her mother has had to take leave from work and travel out of the country to take her mind off things. Imagine us losing such a pleasant and brilliant girl?”
When contacted on the telephone, the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Police Command, Ngozi Braide, confirmed the accident to our correspondent.
Braide said the matter was reported as a fatal car accident and that Chinyere had been charged to court.
Fully Loaded Cement Truck Accidentally Kills College Student, Injures Many
A cement truck driver lost control of his lorry yesterday afternoon at Eleyele area of Ibadan, Oyo State, killing a student on the spot.
The lorry, which was fully loaded with cement, also collided with a commercial bus, injuring four others.
The deceased student, who was identified as Rashidat Akinola, attended the Federal Cooperative College, Ibadan.
Eyewitnesses said the lorry, with number plate XA178BDG, was coming from the Dugbe end of the road and going towards Ologuneru area when it crushed the young woman. The other four victims that sustained various degrees of injuries were occupants of an 18-seater bus, which was also involved in the accident.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Olabisi Ilobanafor, told our correspondent that the driver was Lateef Okunola from Ipokia area of Ogun State.
She said, “He lost control of the vehicle at Eleyele roundabout and killed Rashidat Akinola on the spot.”
The injured persons were taken to the hospital by the Oyo State Mobile Ambulance Service.
A resident in the area told our correspondent that the driver and his assistant attempted to flee the scene of the accident but were prevented by eyewitnesses.
“After killing the woman, the driver and his friend tried to run away but they were apprehended by the people around. The driver was said to be in his early 20's and accused of not being experienced enough to drive the truck in the first place.
23 People Feared D*ad, As Vehicles Crash Into Collapsed Bridge
At least 23 persons died in multiple crashes, when their vehicles plunged into a collapsed bridge at Yar’randa village in Charanchi Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The first crash involved a bus conveying 24 passengers which plunged into the bridge few minutes after its collapse on Monday night.
According to the witness, the bridge collapsed at about 9.30p.m. due to heavy downpour and moments after the bus with registration number XA 328 KZR, conveying passengers from Kano to Katsina, fell into the bridge.
The villagers said efforts made to alert the bus driver was to no avail as he was on high speed.
The bus and the passengers were swept by the heavy current and some of the dead bodies were recovered miles away in Ajiwa area, the villagers and officials told NAN.
NAN also gathered that only two of the passengers in the bus, including a student of Federal College of Education, Bichi in Kano state, survived the incident.
The student, Jamilu Aminu-Elder, who was seen at the scene, could not speak to NAN as he was still in shock.
The police said 10 bodies had been recovered and deposited at the mortuary of General Hospital, Kankia while the search for 12 others was ongoing.
Similarly, another person was reported dead when the vehicle he was in, a Mitsubishi truck, fell into the water at about 5.00a.m. on Tuesday.
Two other persons in the vehicle however survived, while a motorcycle rider with a passenger, who also plunged into the collapsed bridge were rescued alive.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Bala Senchi, who visited the scene, confirmed the story, but said the police were not clear on the number of death as the search for the missing passengers was still on.
He said policemen had been deployed to the area to control traffic and prevent further accident at the scene.
Malam Rabi’u Ibrahim, the Permanent Secretary, sttae Ministry for Works and Housing and an official of Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) had visited the scene to assess the damage.
Ibrahim said a report would be forwarded to the Katsina State Government for prompt intervention.
He condoled with the families of the deceased persons and prayed for the repose of the souls of those who d*ed.
Angry Mob Sets Truck Ablaze after Crushing Three Youths
A mob in Okuku a suburb of Ogoja in the northern town of Cross River State, over the weekend, set ablaze a Champion Breweries truck after it crushed three youths riding on Okada.
An eye witness, Matthew Ekawu, a staff of Yala Local Government Area, told reporters that the truck came from Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital laden with over 2,000 crates of the company’s products for delivery to a local distributor.
He said the driver had negotiated the bend at the Okuku roundabout and was heading towards the direction of Mary Knoll College when four youths on a motor cycle went speeding towards the direction the truck was coming from, on their way to the Graki cattle market at Igoli.
Ekawu said: “The truck had occupied part of the narrow road and on the other side was a stationery car.
In the effort to avoid colliding with the car, the motorcycle tried to maneouvre through the little space between the truck and the car but the space was too small and they ended under the rear tyres of the truck and were crushed.”
One of the boys was, however, able to jump down from the motorcycle but three others, Ohiho Ogar, John (the rider) and Alice, the girlfriend to Ohiho who was a student of the Cross River State University of Technology were all crushed by the truck.
After the accident, youths operating okada at the Okuku junction chased the truck and caught up with it some yards away and went after the driver who escaped into the bush.
“The driver apparently did not know that some people had died under the back tires of his truck.”

“They turned the place to a party arena and drank the beer till the next morning” Ekawu said.
A source at the Okuku police station said only three policemen were on duty that day and were overwhelmed by the crowd which descended on the truck.
“When we called on the DPO at Okpoma for re-enforcement he said there was no means of transportation so the boys had all night to loot the drinks and set the truck ablaze”.
3 Crushed To Death In Lagos As Container Falls
Three persons were yesterday crushed to death when a 40-feet containerized vehicle fell on a Mazda car on the Badagry-Seme Expressway.
The accident which occurred at about 1.15 p.m., was attributed to the bad road which has been a nightmare to commuters and other users of the road.
The containerized vehicle with registration number XT 339 AKD was said to be conveying some goods when it lost control and fell on the car, with four occupants. Three of the passengers died instantly, while the driver was in a critical condition.
The accident caused a heavy traffic while passers-by went on an immediate rescue mission of the trapped persons, before officials of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, and Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, came to the scene of the accident.
Three of the passengers pulled out from the crushed car had already died. The driver of the truck, reports say fled immediately the accident occurred.
According to eyewitnesses, the bad portion of the road has been left because of the on-going reconstruction and that the danger has been there all along.
“For the fact that the road is no longer manageable, road users often drive against traffic to avoid container carrying trucks; now it has claimed lives,” exclaimed a regular road user.
The accident attracted a lot of condemnations of the government towards its people, with an eye-witness saying; “This is an indication that we are all driving on a time bomb. It could be I or you tomorrow”
As at the time LASTMA officials arrived the scene of the accident with a towing van in order to lift the container off the compressed car, a large number good spirited Nigerians, who swung into action almost immediately the accident occurred, had already evacuated the passengers on board the car with registration number UK 641 KJA.
