REVEALED! Foods That Ruin Your S**x Life(A MUST READ)

You are what you eat, they say. When it comes to s**x, therefore, you invariably s**x what you eat! It’s that simple. Truth is, what you eat affects every part of your being, your ability to become aroused, achieve orgasm and feel s**xually satisfied.

This is why we have decided to share, with blessings from several experts, those foods that may be k*lling your s**x life. Here they are:

Fried foods and chips.
Love those tantalizing bacon cheeseburgers? Well, go easy on them because the saturated fats contained in most cheeses and fatty meats will possibly, over time, clogs your arteries. But you already knew that, didn’t you? I am not sure if you knew that first arteries usually affected are the penal and vaginal arteries? They are small, which means they quickly collect plaque — so even if you’re still looking svelte despite your close personal relationship with the pastries, your s**x life might be suffering.

Cookies and muffins.
Whether you prefer pastries or macaroons, scones or muffins, baked food that combine flour and sugar spike glucose levels, which can reduce s**xual desire and causes hormonal imbalances. A lot of chips and other fried foods do contain trace amounts of libido lowering fats as a byproduct of processing, even though the label on your fries and chips says trans-fat. Initially though, the initial ingredients may be trans-fat free, but the processing often creates unhealthy fats which clog the ventricles, not to mention, trans-fats have been linked to reduce testosterone levels (which means lower s**x drive).

Soy products.
You may have been medically advised to ingest more soy products for a healthier life, I am here to tell you that too much of it for a man can, most possibly, affect his s**x drive because of their high estrogen levels. A high estrogen level in male is not libido friendly.

Dairy products.
As women, you have been told that you need a healthy dose of dairy products in your diets. As much as that is true, high-fat dairy does have a way of affecting your menstrual cycle by exacerbating cramps and bloating and further depleting energy levels.

Meat.
You have heard how much danger excessive red meat deposits into your body system, right? Now, I can go a little further to tell you that most meats, including dear poultry and fish, have added hormones, antibiotics and chemicals which create a hormonal imbalance. It gets worse, those tasty, fatty meats do contain high levels of saturated fats and cholesterol known to clog your arteries and blood vessels, making it difficult to achieve orgasm and maintain arousal. Can you now see why you need to sacrifice your taste for a healthier s**x life?

Alcohol.
Think happy hour makes you happy? Try frequent happy hours and see if it doesn’t impede your getting laid! Frequent use of alcohol suppresses your libido, decreasing your s**x drive and your s**xual satisfaction.

Don’t say I never told you because I just did.

One Mosquito Coil Is Equivalent To Smoking 100 Cigarette

I pray this does not even include the mosquito coils used in Nigeria, cause that would mean I am a totally mad man by now.

If 1 mosquito coil is same as smoking 100 cigs, then maybe i might have smoked over 20,000 cigs. Scientists has revealed that smoking using one mosquito coil could be as harmful as smoking 100 cigarettes aside the risk of burning down your house.

Do you experience discomfort, pain during urination or s*x?

Most women have a v*g*n*l yeast infection at some time, causing burning sensation in the v*g*na, v*g*n*l soreness, painful s*xual intercourse, painful urination and v*g*n*l discharge. Experts say that regular douching or washing with soap and water will end up doing more harm than good in its prevention, reports Sade Oguntola.

Douching is part of women’s hygienic practices which involves cleaning the vaginal area with the use of v*g*n*l wash products and even homemade ones. Likewise, vaginal washing with soap and water every morning and after s*x is believed to be preventing various vaginal diseases like yeast infection.

Often times, women douche more than once or twice a day, without knowing that they are already putting themselves into a risk towards yeast infection because excessive v*g*n*l washing can eliminate not only the harmful bacteria but also the good ones. These good microorganisms naturally stay in the v*g*na and they provide defence against other harmful microorganisms. Along with the good microflora, yeasts also a microorganism, co-exist with them in the various portions of human body with the same purpose.

Moreover, Dr Adebola Roberts, a Consultant Obstetrics and Gynaecologist, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Oyo State, stated that it was misleading to ask women to use soap to wash the v*gin*l environment to maintain its hygiene. “In fact, women are not supposed to use soap to wash their v*g*na because there is a particular acidity that is present in the v*g*n*l environment.

Using soap, most of which are alkaline in nature, can alter the vaginal environment favouring the fungus yeast. “Cleaning or washing of the v*g*na with soap and water, in fact may inadvertently lead to the development of other conditions which were not there before.

So, the advice is actually for women to use clean water if they really need to wash up. Indeed, using soap is being discouraged everywhere in the world and women really do not need to use soap in the v*g*na.” What is Candida? V*g*n*l thrush (thrush) is a yeast infection caused by a type of fungus of the candida species, usually Candida albicans. It can affect all women, but is more common among women who are pregnant, those who have weakened immune systems, and women aged 30 to 50.

Thrush is generally recurring - it comes back. The fungus, Candida albicans, exists naturally in the vagina. As long as it does not multiply too much, a woman will not notice it is there. However, it can sometimes multiply to such an extent that it causes swelling of the vagina and vulva (the external genital organs of the female). Most women have a vaginal yeast infection at some time.

Candida albicans is a common type of fungus. It is often found in small amount in the vagina, mouth, digestive tract, and on the skin. Usually, it does not cause disease or show symptoms. Candida and the many other germs that normally live in the vagina keep each other in balance.

However, sometimes the number of Candida albicans increases, leading to a yeast infection. Although women with vaginal yeast infection usually manifest signs and symptoms that are common among other genitourinary infection, Dr Robert said that its most disturbing symptom is vaginal itchiness that may spread throughout the vulvar area.

Other symptoms include burning sensation in the vagina, vaginal swelling or soreness, painful s*xual intercourse, painful urination and white, cottage-cheese like v*g*n*l discharge. According to him, sometimes, the v*g*n*l itchiness is so terrible that the affected woman may not be able to sit down because of the severity of the itching.

“Aside the foul odour discharge, due to the itching, the genital develops sores. So, when a woman develops candidiasis, it is better to seek medical treatment. A swab test is done to confirm the pathogenic cause of the v*g*n*l infection and then to commence treatment.” Meanwhile, Dr Roberts stated that candidiasis is a fungal infection that can sometimes be s*xually transmittable.

“One can acquire candida from a male partner who is infected. Sadly, men do not have symptoms of this fungal infection, thus making this a major issue, ” he explained. Moreover, he stated also that erroneously, many people have described it as toilet disease, stressing that much as it can be contracted from an infected toilet bowl, it was wrong to label it a toilet disease.

Mr Abiodun Ajibade, an industrial pharmacist with Avid Nigerian Limited, Mokola, Ibadan, stated that a candida overgrowth can occur from the use of many drugs, including antibiotics, anti-cancer drugs, steroids and immunosuppressants which reduce body’s ability to fight infections. He stated: “The abuse of antibiotics may cause disequilibrium in fungi-bacteria population thereby enhancing overgrowth of candida albican, hence the infection.”

In addition, Mr Ajibade declared that in diabetes, the level of sugar in urine causes an overgrowth of candida, ditto the irritation and sores (lesion) in the v*g*n*l wall during s*xual intr*course without appropriate lubrication serving as a medium for the growth of candida albicans. Mr Ajibade, however, stressed the importance of personal hygiene in the prevention of this fungal infection.

According to him, sharing of personal materials with infected colleagues, sharing of towels or underwear with an infected individual should be avoided since the fungus can be transmitted through sharing of personal materials. Also, the cleaning procedure of front to back should be adopted as against back to front. This is to prevent carriage of faecal waste into the vaginal area, leading to infection as a result of increased microbial load.

In addition, in order to prevent vaginal candidiasis, he stated that synthetic and tight underwear should be avoided because this creates an environment for overgrowth of candida albicans and vaginal candidiasis. Rather, loose underwear and relaxed pants are more advantageous. Similarly, wearing dirty and/or wet pants create a good avenue for the growth of vaginal candidiasis. The use of sanitary pads, tampons, birth control pills and devices also must be done with adequate knowledge of safe use.

Arthritis: How sports stars can learn to reduce risk

For a semi-professional basketball player who had represented the Republic of Ireland at junior level, the news was devastating. "At my age I didn't think anything like that was going to bother me. "I'd been playing sport competitively since I was 10 years old. It was very hard to give up." Ciaran joins a long list of sportsmen and women whose careers have been curtailed or ended by this kind of injury.

England cricketer Andrew Flintoff and Spurs defender Ledley King's chronic knee problems are probably the best-known examples. Continue reading the main story “ Start Quote Professional sports people get early arthritis because of the frequent trauma to their joints” Dr Tom Saw BBC Health: Arthritis in depth It's not surprising that athletes place great physical pressure on their bodies, but scientists now want to find out how far they can go before risking long-term injury.

A new national research centre, funded by £3m ($4.7m) from Arthritis Research UK, may provide the answer. Prof Alan Silman, medical director of the charity, say there are lots of unknowns in this area. "We need to know how to achieve a balance between exercise that is good and exercise that is harmful. "In general, using your joints is good because cartilage and bone need the stimulus of exercise.

"Even a little bit of damage is okay because it will repair, but when damage is outweighing the repair mechanism, then it becomes something else." What it tends to become is osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis affects the joints, causing pain, stiffness and reduced mobility - and it affects the lives of around nine million people in the UK. Although it occurs more frequently in older people, young people and children can still be affected.

Ciaran knew that the wear and tear on his joints from playing basketball and a bad cruciate ligament injury at 19 had contributed to serious problems in his knee. His injury is also typical of footballers, and his arthritis diagnosis shows what can happen when a joint is left permanently damaged and changes occur in how the joint works. Ciaran was told he might need a knee replacement Tom Saw, a GP in Milton Keynes with a specialism in sports and exercise medicine, says he sees people of all ages with joint pain. But the older we get, the less hope we have of avoiding it.

"One hundred per cent of 60 year olds have arthritis in their lumbar spine," he says. "People who are obese are more likely to have joint pain, and professional sports people get early arthritis because of the frequent trauma to their joints." Dr Saw's advice is to keep the weight down and exercise regularly - and sensibly. There are certain forms of exercise, he says, which are better than others. "Swimming, cycling and walking is a good combination." This is because they combine joint-friendly cardiovascular exercise and the use of big muscles in cycling which can result in weight loss.

'Carry less weight' Continue reading the main story “ Start Quote Learning how to jump and turn and land is vital” Prof Alan Silman See medical advice on knee injuries Dr Simon Till, consultant in sport and exercise medicine at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield, says the message on how to keep your joints healthy is to keep active. "It doesn't have to be going to the gym. Being active throughout the day is better. "For example, walking rather than using the car, getting off the bus a stop early and doing the gardening regularly.

" Even for someone with osteoarthritis, the advice is still to carry less weight and build up cardiovascular fitness, Dr Till says. Ciaran, who is now 29, was told that he would need a knee replacement at 35 if he kept punishing his joint. "My daughter was six months old at the time and it was very difficult to kneel over a bath. My knees would be clicking away going up and down stairs, and swelling up."

He found that physiotherapy and taking an alternative rosehip therapy helped him. Dr Saw acknowledges that some natural remedies, as well as aspirin and anti-inflammatories, can have a positive effect on joint pain. But the most important remedy and means of prevention - for professionals and amateur athletes - is to engage in sporting activities without overloading the joints, Prof Silman says. "Warming up and training exercises are key. Learning how to jump and turn and land is vital. "Research shows that the way you train can have a big impact on your body."

Study Reveals That Men Who Cheat On Their Partners Are At Risk Of Heart Attack

Researchers in Italy examined monogamy among men and discovered an interesting correlation -- having an extramarital affair increases men’s risk of having a deadly heart attack. It’s almost clichĂ©: a middle-age man having s*x with a woman who is not his wife keels over in flagrante delicto, what’s known as sudden coital death (oh yes, it has a medical name).

But like some stereotypes, it appears to be based in truth, says Dr. Marc Gillinov, a heart surgeon at The Cleveland Clinic and co-author of the book "Heart 411," which looks at cases of sudden coital death, among other cardiac events. (Gillinov did not participate in this study.) The researchers -- from the University of Florence -- examined the medical literature related to cheating by searching for “unfaithfulness,” “extramarital affairs,” “infidelity” and “men.”

Reliable statistics about cheating are hard to find because most people claim to be morally opposed to cheating and don’t chat to scientists about it. The authors report that anywhere from 15 to 25 percent to as many as 30 to 50 percent of men cheat at least once in their lives. Then the researchers looked at a variety of physical and mental health factors and the rates they occur in both monogamous and un-monogamous men.

Doctors have long known that men live longer if they consistently have s*x into old age, but knocking boots only provides a health boost if it occurs with the same partner in a familiar place. S*x into old age only helps if you’re doing it with your spouse. Sudden coital death occurs most frequently when a man engages in coitus with a woman who is not his long-term partner. While scorned wives might believe these results make sense on a karmic level, the authors found them surprising.

Generally, cheating men have better hormonal and vascular function, meaning they’re healthier than monogamous men (finally, a reason to be excited that your man is a couch potato). But the authors believe that the act of trying to keep an affair secret might contribute to cheating men’s increased risk of a deadly heart attack. “It’s the added stress of trying to have a secret affair,” says Gillinov. “You are doing things that you don’t normally do.” Cheating men frequently have affairs with younger partners and these men feel they have to drink, smoke, and eat more to keep up with their mistresses.

All this adds up to increased heart rate, blood pressure, and anxiety, which can contribute to a heart attack. Although, s*x itself is no more strenuous than walking up a few flights of stairs. “It’s also like there is a medical reason for fidelity,” Gillinov says. The article appears online in The Journal of S*xual Medicine.

Male contraceptive pill a step closer

Scientists are hopeful that a male contraceptive pill could soon be on its way, after trials in mice identified a gene essential to sperm production. The gene, called Katnal1, is important at the end of the sperm-creating process and scientists believe blocking it could induce temporary infertility.

The breakthrough came when a team of researchers at the Centre for Reproductive Health at the University of Edinburgh were conducting investigations into male infertility. Crucially, blocking the gene would be a temporary measure and, as the pill would potentially be non-hormonal, there should be few side effects. It’s not the first attempt made at a male contraceptive pill but options for men currently remain limited to condoms or a vasectomy.

Experts have called a non-hormonal contraceptive pill for men the ‘Holy Grail’. "The key in developing a non-hormonal contraceptive for men is that the molecular target needs to be very specific for either sperm or other cells in the testicle which are involved in sperm production,” said Dr Allan Pacey, senior lecturer in andrology at the University of Sheffield.

"If they are not, then such a contraceptive could have unwanted side effects on other cells and tissues in the body and may even be dangerous. "The gene described by the research group in Edinburgh sounds like an exciting new possible target for a new male contraceptive, but it may also shed light on why some men are sub-fertile and why their sperm does not work properly."

Scientists warn that eating monkeys and apes could cause 'the next HIV'

Scientists in Cameroon have warned that eating monkeys and apes could cause the next HIV. They are already tracking a HIV-like virus called simian foamy virus, and fear more viruses could spread and lead to a global health crisis. 80 per cent of the meat eaten in Cameroon is killed in the wild and is known as ‘bushmeat’,with gorilla, chimpanzee or monkey favourites. According to oneestimate, up to 3,000 gorillas are slaughtered in southern Cameroon every year.

Elsewhere, the Washington-based Bush Meat Crisis Task Force estimates that up to five milliontons of wild animals are being ‘harvested’ in the Congo Basin every year – the equivalent of 10 million cattle. A study earlier this year by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), identified evidence of viruses, including simian foamy virus, in illegally imported wildlife products confiscated at several U.S. international airports, including John F. Kennedy International Airport, George Bush Intercontinental-Houston and Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International.
