Boko Haram: JNI tackles Oritsejafor

The Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) yesterday asked the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, to make public his reason for kicking against the Federal Government negotiation with the Boko Haram sect.
The position was contained in a statement by the JNI Public Relations Officer, Umar Ahmad Zaria, on behalf of the Secretary General, Dr. Khalid Aliyu Abubakar.

Oritsejafor had in Kaduna described planned talks with Boko Haram as the greatest disservice the government could do to the unity of the country.

He said,“JNI does not know what the President of CAN intends to achieve by saying that he is against the FG talks with Boko Haram, whatever his reason might be, it should be made public for it makes a masquerade to know another.

“Indeed, after the Miya Barkatai foiled attempt to bomb a church in Bauchi State, aren’t we witnessing the return of peace and security. Is he not interested?

“In the light of which I strongly disagree with the assertions, particularly at the time that tension is gradually dowsing over security upheavals, may I at this juncture call on Oritsejafor to tell the world the so called 26 different groups said to be the Boko Haram?”
