I came across the above photo on social media and could not just ignore it so i wanted to hear from friends what they think about the performance of President Goodluck Jonathan. Let me first and foremost give my stand and state my reasons and i expect you to follow suite.

I don't think Jonathan is the worst President in our history, he's not even close to the worst. Yes, he did below my expectation, he is always silent at very sensitive time, he did nothing to curb corruption or exploitation of government officials, he reacted to the insecurity in the North caused by Boko Haram rather too late and he did not have a clear developmental plan for Nigeria. On the other hand, he is the first president to conduct an election termed 'the best' we have seen in our history and after losing he showed what a great statesman he was by conceiving defeat even before the final result was announced. He has the aura of a good, gentle man and that to me counted as one of his weakness because he was not ready to make enemies.

To be frank,he didn't do much and he destroyed the little he did by allowing his people suffer drastically in the hands of oil marketers few days before he handed over power.

Lessons Learnt
1. We don't need a good man to rule us, we need an iron fisted man, one that can boldly take on people destroying the country.
2. We don't need a leader who supports corruption at any level
3. We don't need a leader who stay silent for so long especially when his input is needed badly.
4. We don't need a leader who can't put his family(wife) under check so he makes all the decision. It is common knowledge, Patience Jonathan contributed to denting the image of the President.
5.We don't need leaders who appoint advisers and does not investigate the advice he is getting from them.

  1. GEJ has done far better than those political criminals who will run first to the media and fed the he public with lies. They want rubbish GEJ achievements out of jealousy.
