FBI Arrests Deeper Life Pastor For Duping 78yrs Old Woman

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has confirmed reports linking Nigerian Pastor Eric Abakporo, who is also a lawyer based in New York to “despicable” fraud: the theft of the life savings of an elderly African-American woman through deceit and lies. Pastor Eric Abakporo of Deeper Life Bible church and a cohort, Latanya Pierce, were arrested for swindling the 78 year-old woman and stiffing a bank with a phony $1.8 million mortgage loan.

Pastor Abakporo was arrested on Monday in Queens, NY, while Pierce surrendered voluntarily. According to New York State Attorney General, Eric Schneiderman, “Through lies and deception, these individuals abused the trust of an elderly woman in order to perpetrate a multimillion dollar fraud. Now that their despicable scheme has been exposed, they will face justice.” The story behind the current FBI charges began in March 2006 when Abakporo cultivated a relationship with the victim who owned a Harlem apartment building.

He offered to help her collect rents but actually, he pocketed them. The two men then persuaded the woman to sell her property for $3.1 million, giving her multiple fake and fraudulent checks which they later took back, promising to give her a “private mortgage” in the property. After weaving a web of lies around their actions, the two swindlers brought their act to a local bank, claiming they owned the building “free and clear”. For this lie, they obtained a $1.8 million mortgage which they failed to repay.

Ultimately they obtained all of the elderly woman’s assets and $1.8 million by defrauding the bank. Charges against the two include multiple bank and wire fraud which together carry a maximum prison term of 100 years behind bars. Abakporo is currently cooling his heels in detention until payment of a $1 million bond secured by an interest in property co-signed by three people and secured by two properties.

Ama Aboagyewaa, a sachet water vendor at the Awisa lorry park in the Birim South District, who allegedly assaulted an 18-year old self-styled pastor, who died days later, has been remanded in police custody.

Her accomplice, Patrick Boake, 22, a student and a relative, is on the run, with a bench warrant issued for his arrest.

Aboagyewaa, 54, who got offended with Pastor Yaw Osei for sprinkling some water on her, went into hiding after the offence, but was arrested and has been put before the Circuit Court at Akim Swedru, while investigations continue.

The court, presided over by Mr. Yaw Atta Sampong, did not take the plea of Aboagyewaa, who has been provisionally charged with murder. She will appear again on March 27.

Boake, is said to have joined Aboagyewaa in assaulting the pastor, until he became feeble.

Police Detective Kinglsey Antwi told Ghana News Agency (GNA) that pastor Osei did not report the incident, which occurred on January 29, at about 8 am to the police.

However, on January 26, he became indisposed and when his condition, deteriorated he was rushed to the Akim Oda Government Hospital where he died shortly on arrival

The matter was, thereafter, reported to the police, whose investigations led to the arrest Aboagyewaa, on March 9.

Woman Police Sergeant Dies After Dry Fasting, Pastor On The Run

A retired police sergeant who operated the largest beer palour in Angwan Doka, in Karu local government area of Nasarawa State, Mrs. Agatha Oche has reportedly died after under-going 10 days of dry fasting.

The deceased's younger brother, Sunday Oche told newsmen that his sister died at the expiration of the 10-day dry fasting which was ordered by a pastor. He pointed out that when family members noticed the deteriorating health condition of Agatha, they persuaded her to eat but she declined, resulting in her death.

“It all started when Agatha noticed a decline in her beer business and decided to visit the said pastor who told her to embark on the fasting. She was told that until she carried out the instruction, her business would crumble and she would die. Upon hearing this, Agatha embarked on the fasting. She refused to eat, she drank only two sachets of pure water before she breath her last.

What made her to believe the pastor , according to what she told me before she died, was because the pastor named one of her business partners with whom she always had quarrel as being responsible for the low sales she was experiencing and that the partner has consulted a witch doctor to kill her”.

Although there is no medical report to prove that Agatha actually died as a result of the fasting, a visit by newsmen to the pastor’s house and place of worship, revealed that the “man of God” have after all taken to his heels; as worshipers waited for the pastor, who is said to be charismatic, to preside over church programmes in vain.

It was also confirmed as at press time that the pastor’ has stripped off his house of his valuables and furnishings. This, according to investigation, which was confirmed by police sources was followed by threats by members of the deceased lady’s family.

Our sources also confirmed that the deceased voluntarily retired from the Force on the advice of the same pastor who is now being accused of being responsible for her death. Police have confirmed the incident, but said investigations were continuing.

Ekiti Police arrest Pastor over stolen vehicles

Police in Ekiti State have recovered three stolen vehicles from a robbery syndicate allegedly headed by a pastor of a church in Ado-Ekiti.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Operations, Mr. Ududo Adat, said the pastor was arrested following a tip-off and confession from a mechanic who was contracted to repair the vehicles .

The cars recovered from the men are a Mazda Pick-Up with number plate Ekiti XD 493 ADK; Honda Accord Car with number plate Abuja FG 942 ABJ and a Mazda Panel Van with number plate Ekiti AG 68 YEE.

Briefing newsmen at the command’s headquarters yesterday, Adat said the pastor was a car dealer who specialised in the sales of stolen vehicles.

He said the cars were recovered following information from some people who were aware of the activities of the suspect.

The police chief did not give the identities of the head of the car snatching syndicate, saying that investigations were ongoing.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr Olayinka Balogun, earlier blamed the banks operating in the state for the rampant robbery scares which, he said, had disrupted financial transactions in the recent past.

Balogun, told newsmen that the incessant robbery scares that had caused panic in the state could be attributed to the refusal of the banks to subscribe to the use of Security Alert System being operated by the police command.

He said that banks would be the target of any robbery gang and that he expected the banks to have subscribed to the alert system.

The police boss also solicited for two Armored Personnel Carriers, APCs, from all the banks to curtail the activities of robbers.

He said the state government donated two out of the three APCs in the command, adding that “if the Banks can combine together and donate two, then it will make the fight against robbers easier”.

Fake Pastor and Nurse Docked For Selling Baby

When Pastor George Brown of Divine Encounter Ministries Okocha Road Rumuolumeni, started his business in the outskirts of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, many saw him as a man with the Midas touch, who had the spiritual prowess to improve their fortunes.

Many, who had no children swooped on the church and before long started singing new songs and giving good testimonies of the goodness of the pastor and his able team. It was not long that the church began to witness a boom in membership its location in a village, notwithstanding.

It must have been on the strength of his good works to the brethren that women, who were under labour opted to have their babies in the church rather than go to the hospital.

But it was not long for the true identity of the ‘powerful man of God’ to be unveiled.
On February 3, 2012, a poor member of the church, Mary Sunday, 25, was in the church when suddenly she noticed that labour had started.

She was encouraged by the pastor to have her baby in the church, and she made no attempt to resist the offer by their spiritual head. She was asked to bring the things they had bought for their new born-baby.

While the poor woman was looking forward to having her new baby, it did not occur to her that she was in the wrong place at the right time. She did not suspect that the pastor could kill her joy in any way.

But something strange happened and left the poor woman with a sour taste. The pastor made the atmosphere the more suspicious and uncomfortable for the expectant mother.

Shortly after ‘praying’ for the woman, the pastor directed that she be taken to the church’s ‘special nurse’, Ngozi Ebuni, who lives behind the Primary School near the church, and they obliged with immediate effect.

Ebuni, who was later discovered to be a traditional birth attendant, has been ‘delivering’ women of their babies through the crude way. She has never been trained as an orthodox nurse and does not have such expertise.

As soon as Ebuni saw the woman under labour, she collected her phone, switched it off and put her under pressure to push out the baby. She had other plans. She wanted the woman to be delivered of her baby and sold off before the arrival of her husband, whom they had sent home to bring materials for the baby.

Cut off from her husband and relatives, Mary and her struggling baby in the womb, were left at the mercy of the nurse and the couple who were waiting to take delivery of the expected baby as soon as the umbilical cord was severed of the mother.

In a bid to quicken the birth of the baby, Ebuni and her clique continued to inject Mary with substances believed to have the potential of forcing it out even though the stressed mother was complaining of weakness and pains. “She kept beating me and giving me injection although I was almost dead.

“At a point, the nurse brought out a pair of scissors and cut my private part all in a bid to force out my baby and I could not bear the pains. I passed out at that point but she did not care, the young mother, who hails from Yala in Cross River State, said.

But luck shone on her when out of the pains and torture, the baby came out and she heaved a sigh of relief, which was at once replaced with agony. Despite her pains, she summoned strength to look at the baby and found out that she had been delivered of a baby girl.

The tears and pains immediately gave way to joy again and she was heads high and full of joy and gratitude to God. However, by the time she went into sleep and woke up, the live baby had been replaced with a doll and carefully wrapped and placed by her bed side.

That was what her distressed husband, Sunday, came to see when he eventually waddled his way into the nurse house. By the time he arrived, the nurse had sold off the baby and disappeared into thin air. He could not take that for a joke. He was highly infuriated and was ready to take any action to prove that his wife did not give birth to a doll as claimed.

He reported the whole episode to the Police in Rumuolumeni and asked them to investigate the pastor and the nurse for their role in the whole despicable affair. Unlike the police, they did not waste time in moving in.

They promptly arrested the pastor, the sister of the nurse and eventually traced the buyer of the baby to a neighbourhood where a welcome party was in progress for the baby..

By the time the police arrived the party venue, a big celebration was going on-men and women were eating, dancing and exchanging banters for the birth of a baby to a couple who had been barren for 25 years. Unknown to the invitees, the couple were merely celebrating a stolen baby, which they allegedly bought for the sum of N150, 000 from the nurse, who had since escaped.

It was an irony of some sort that while the poor mother was weeping and writhing in pains in a near-by dirty and illegal TBA home, a rich couple was celebrating her own child through the fraudulent activity of a man, who claims to be working for God and a nurse.

The police quickly seized the baby from the celebrants, terminated the party and took some persons to their custody in order to find out their roles in the infamous and shameful act.

Among those arrested were the pastor and those found in the home who led them to the discovery of the hideout of the ‘nurse.’ Under intense interrogation, the ‘nurse’ was said to have confessed to collecting N150, 000 to sell the baby to the childless couple.

Convinced that the pastor played an active but illicit role in the sordid affair, the police on Thursday arraigned Pastor George Brown before to a Port Harcourt Magistrate Court for conniving with two women to sell a new-born baby for N150, 000.00.

Brown, 32, is the senior pastor of Divine Encounter Ministries, Port Harcourt is facing trial alongside one Mrs. Tina Tekebe, 46, who allegedly bought the child while the third accused, Blessing Ngozi Ebuni, who works as a mid-wife in the Divine Encounter Ministries, is still at large.

The mother of the child, Grace Sunday, who hails from Yala local government area of Cross River State, had alleged that the Brown and Ebuni swapped her new-born child with a doll immediately after her delivery and sold the new baby to a barren woman, Tekebe.

A case of child abduction had been preferred against the suspects, who first appeared before Magistrate Court presided over by Mrs. Betty Sunny-Hart on February 3, 2011 on charge number PMC/176C/12, with a police Sergeant, Jonas Rufus, as the prosecutor.

The charge sheet reads: “That you Tina Tekebe (‘f’) and Pastor George Brown conspired with one Ngozi Ebuni (f’) now at large at Nkpor Village Rumuolumeni in the Port Harcourt Magisterial District and did conspire with her to commit felony to wit child stealing and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 516A of the Criminal Code Cap 37, Laws of Rivers State of Nigeria 1999.”

The accused persons pleaded not guilty and were ordered to remain in police custody till next mention of the case. The hunt for the suspected seller, Ebuni, said to have other cases with the police, continues.

However, the case could not come up on Thursday, February 16, 2011 at Magistrate Court 10 due to the swearing in of six mew judges of the Rivers State High Court by Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

However, Pastor Brown still insists that he did not commit any crime and wants N180,000.00 as compensation from the Rumuolumeni youths for vandalising his church.

Popular Pastor Arraigned for Taking Another Man’s Wife

For hobnobbing and travelling out of Nigeria with another man’s wife against her husband’s repeated warnings, the senior pastor of Jordan Ministries in Opebi, Lagos, Pastor Ndukwe Chigbo has been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate Court.

During interrogation, it was gathered, the woman at the centre of the scandal (name withheld) confessed that she had been having an affair with the pastor for... a long time and that they both left Nigeria together to enjoy themselves in Kenya.

But in his own statement to the police, Pastor Chigbo denied travelling with the woman at the same time. He claimed that she was the one who actually came to meet him in Kenya. He was arraigned on charges of abducting another man’s wife. Trouble started for the Pastor when the enraged husband, identified as Mr. Ndiomu, did not see his wife at home for some days and went to the church to enquire about her whereabouts.

He was shocked to discover that his wife and Pastor Chigbo had travelled to Kenya since November 23, for “church retreat”. Mr. Ndiomu, who is the son of a retired army general, promptly reported the strange development to the police who in turn arrested the pastor on his return to Nigeria for wife abduction.

The husband, in his statement to police, disclosed that he had warned his wife to stop attending the church for some reasons, and wondered what made her travelled out of the country for seven days with the same pastor without his consent. The Court however adjourned the case to enable both parties present more facts before it.

Jezebel's Reincarnate: Pastor's Wife Declares In Public

Wonder they say shall never end. Even the Holy Bible says, when the world is coming to an end, strange things would be happening. The Holy Quran also testifies to it.

Imagine a Pastor's wife who women in the church see as a role model but turned out to be Jezebel's reincarnate.

According to information at our disposal, a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC)'s Pastor's wife simply known as Bola, had confessed in public to be a witch.

Bola, the Pastor's wife who the congregation call “Mummy”, we learnt, confessed to be a witch during an anointing service which held at a Pentecostal church led by a popular man of God (names withheld) in Baruwa Ayobo-Ipaja area of Lagos State.

According to a reliable source, during the anointing service on 13th November, 2011 the Pastor of the church, a CAC Pastor and his wife had told the congregation that they had a special anointing service that anyone with confirmed witchcraft would die within seven days if he or she took part in the service.

It was at this time, we learnt that the CAC's Pastor's wife came out to confess. During her confession, she reportedly said that she was the one who turned her Pastor's husband to a wretch, because he used to support his younger brother who is living with them whenever they had disagreement at home.

Bola, who after serious rebuke of the evil spirits in her and persistent prayers, promised to re-instate her husband's glory, said, “I joined the witchcraft when my husband used to support his younger brother when misunderstanding happens in the family. I made my husband poor but now I'm ready to make him rich again”.

Our source said that when Bola's husband was asked if he was aware his wife had witchcraft, the Pastor, we learnt, said that he has been seeing it in the dream for a long while.

Meanwhile, the couple that has been married for 18 years now was then asked to go on seven days fasting and prayers to beg for forgiveness and for God to restore their lost glory.

Prophet Contracts HIV after Embarking on Strong Spiritual Prayers On a Woman

A self styled prophet, Brighton Chiwafa (19) has reportedly contracted HIV from a woman he prayed for and later raped.

Chiwafa of House Number 36, 18th Street Heroes Section, Chegutu, initially went to the woman’s house demanding his “holy water” back before she pleaded with him to continue using the water.

Chiwafa denied the charge when he appeared before Chinhoyi regional magistrate Mr Solomon Jenya, but was convicted after a fully contested trial.

Prosecutor Mr Admore Shekede proved that the accused had non-consensual s*xual intercourse with the woman.

In his defence, Chiwafa said the woman consulted another “prophet” who instructed her to find a young and healthy man who would help her conceive, as she wanted to have a child.

He said the intercourse was by mutual consent.

Allegations against Chiwafa are that on October 10, 2010, he went to the woman’s house demanding his “muteuro” (holy water) back, but the woman pleaded with him to allow her to continue using it.

He returned the following day making the same demands, but she told him that she had pain in her womb and needed help.

Chiwafa asked for cooking oil and told the woman to go into a private room where he followed and told her to apply the oil on her private parts.

He then started caressing her private parts and raped her.

Mr Jenya found him guilty of the offence and sentenced him to six years in prison before suspending two on condition that he does not commit a similar offence in future.

Cases of women being raped by self-styled prophets are on the rise nationally. The police urges women not to trust the prophets who masquarade under the guise of religion.

PROPHET DAVID ABIOLA SHOCKING PROPHESY CONCERNING NIGERIANS

Prophecy is a process in which one or more messages that have been communicated to a prophet are then communicated to others.

Such messages typically involve divine inspiration, interpretation, or revelation of conditioned events to come as well as testimonies or repeated revelations that the world is divine.

The process of prophecy especially involves reciprocal communication of the prophet with the (divine) source of the messages.

If you understand what prophesy is all about, you will definitely take this very serious. These words came expressly from God to His servant, Prophet David Abiola concerning Nigeria and Nigerians -

Female Pastor Jailed 14 Years For Luring Nigerian Girls Into Prostitution

A Federal High Court sitting at Ikeja, this morning sentenced the General Overseer of Christ Redemption Apostolic Church, Pastor Eunice Owoyele to 14 years imprisonment for child trafficking.

Her church is situated at 15, Olaoye Ogunyemi Street, Off Powerline, Ikorodu, Lagos, southwest Nigeria. Also sentenced along with Pastor Eunice Owoyele, 40, is one of her accomplices, Mariam Mohammed, a.k.a. Mama Blessing, 50. Mariam will also stay behind bars for 14 years. They were jailed for luring an 18-year old girl from Nigeria to Libya for prostitution.

The offence was committed in August 2010 in Lagos. The two convicts were arraigned before the court on 4 February this year on a three count criminal charge of organising foreign travels for young girls for prostitution abroad especially in Libya, procurement for prostitution and deceitful inducement to go from place to place contrary to section 15a, 16 and 19 b of NAPTIP Act.

In the case, the prosecuting lawyer, Mr. Kehinde Falade called four witnesses while the convicts who testified for themselves were led in evidence by their lawyer, Mr. R.O. Akande. The mother of the victim reported to NAPTIP when her daughter and her friend who were sent to Libya discovered that they were lured there for prostitution.

The girl called her mother on phone to complain about her situation. Consequently, NAPTIP contacted the Nigerian Embassy in Libya to repatriate the girl. However, the whereabouts of the other victims have remained unknown.

The lawyer to the convicts, Mr. Akande pleaded for leniency as he urged the court to temper justice with mercy by giving his clients an option of fine. But the presiding judge, Justice Stephen Jonah-Adah said the act under which the accused persons were convicted did not make any provision for fine. Consequently, the convicts were sentenced to 14 years imprisonment each.
